GREAT COMPACT AIR FRYER WITH TEMPERATURE PROBE FOR MEAT LOVERS
This air fryer is PERFECT for me! I have about 5 others, and this one will be the only one I use from now on. I never would do a steak in my others and preferred them cooked on the grill. That has changed. I may not even refill my propane tanks this year. I also love that I can do a final sear on my steak. If I want a darker crust, I just blast it on air fry mode at 450 degrees for 2 minutes. You can turn on the light to check on food without opening the drawer. The light turns back off automatically! With the temp probe, you can cook items to your exact preference. It has many preset temps for different meats, but you can still tweak them if you want a different temp setting, and it will save that in the preset buttons for the next time. I'm used to a 6 qt, but the 5.5 qt is adequate for me, since it does a superior job on my steaks. I can fit 1 big, or 2 smaller ribeye steaks. I mostly eat steak, but chicken and pork come out wonderful and moist. I'm looking forward to using the other functions in the future. It isn't very loud and it's a breeze to clean with the ceramic coating. It's more money than others, but I think the ceramic coating and temp probe make it worth the extra cost. By the way, the temp probe is right on with my Thermapen ONE. It works with Wi-Fi, but it won't work with a Hotspot. Because of all the presets, it doesn't really matter to me, but I thought I'd mention it. I just got a new oven, but I don't think I'll be using it much now!

Size is perfect for 1-2 servings.
I've used this for a month now and I really like it. Thermometer works great, perfect accessory for a air fryer. Auto settings eliminated guess work on how long to cook for desired doneness. Signals when to turn meat over. Controls are very straight-forward and easy to understand. I use liners, which helps keep clean up to a minimum. Cook cycle starts (heats up), then fan starts to complete the cooking process. Noise (fan) is not that loud. Easily stores away, not heavy at all. Overall very pleased with the design and multiple functions.

Cook Steak to Perfection
This is an amazing air fryer. It cooks steaks to perfection. I use it for bacon, hamburgers, pork chops, fries, and so much more. It keeps the heat out of the kitchen and cleanup is a breeze. I also use it to reheat leftovers. It crisps things back up whereas the microwave does not. It now has a permanent place in my kitchen.

No problem seeing controls for a 5’ tall person
I almost didn’t order this after reading reviews about it being hard to see the controls on top of the air fryer because I’m only 5’ tall. Our counters are the average height of most houses. As you can see from the picture I have no trouble seeing the controls. The ease of the controls are great! I love that I can put the drawer and racks in the dishwasher and they wash up beautifully. The drawer is easy to open and close and it cooks perfectly. I washed the parts when I got it and there was no smell when I turned it on. It cooks Evenly and to temperature. I absolutely love the temperature probe. I hate dry over cooked fish and chicken, but having a compromised immune system I have to be very careful. The probe allows me to cook my meats to perfection so they are well done but still juicy and tender. And the storage for the temperature probe on the side of the air fryer is genius! No more rummaging through drawers to find my thermometer. It’s convenient and tells me when my food is cooked perfectly and even turns off for me. I don’t have to stand in the kitchen to avoid overcooking. This is a perfect gift item! It’s the best air fryer I’ve ever had and we use it almost daily.

Amending my review from 2 to 4
I am amending my review. Tastee contacted me and gave me advice about using the airfryer - once they saw my review below. I am new to using an airfryer. Their customer service help and info changed my mind about it. So I upgraded from 2 to 4. Since I wrote the review, I tried using the leg setting for chicken thighs and they turned out amazing. I did not use the probe, I just guessed at the length of time and set the temp at 400 using the T shape button. It worked well. There was one more question - I stopped it to check the temp and then couldn't get back into my setting. When I tried to change the temp on the control panel, it would only allow me to choose white or dark for the meat. So I ran it and just guessed at the time. Luckily it came out perfect. I did turn the thighs over at what I guessed would be 1/2 cooking time. Next time I will not turn it off on the control panel when I open the drawer - just open the drawer and it will resume cooking at the same temp. I also tried a ribeye again. This time it worked better - I have to learn how to use the fryer. My final advice if you are thinking of buying is - it's a great airfryer the probe makes it so much easier to cook to the right temperature. I think I will set a timer to remind me what about 1/2 way done is so I flip the steak. I think there is a beep when it's time to flip but I was busy and didn't hear it. I am happy with my Tastee air fryer and will keep experimenting. Thank you to Tastee Customer service for reaching out to me. OLD REVIEW NO LONGER ACCURATE, I ADMIT I DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO USE AN AIRFRYER AT ALL. I WOULD DELETE THE OLD REVIEW BUT I THOUGHT IT MAY BE HELPFUL TO ANOTHER "NEWBIE":I am so disappointed. I thought I did thorough research on air fryers. This one was highly recommended on you tube - guess I was wrong!! I tried chicken thighs (On the breast setting since there is no thigh option) and they came out completely soggy - NOT crispy or browned AT ALL!! I was under the impression that air fryers were great for crispy chicken. I am bummed. To make the thighs edible, I put butter in a cast iron skillet and tried frying the skin crispier. not great but ok - but it made a mess of my stovetop. Would have been better to just bake them in my oven at 450.I also cooked 2 ribeyes - the first one I programmed medium rare - it came out all all bloody and NOT seared on the outside. It wasn't gray but it wasn't seared looking either. The next one I programmed for Medium - it was better but overdone. I don't like that there is no way to override the temperature settings. Meaning the probe is REQUIRED TO OPERATE and sets the temp. I have not been able to set it above 380. I am not sure what to do. I am not much of a cook and this was discouraging. I thought an air fryer would make life simpler. Wish someone would recommend a great brand. Bummed in MN.
