I purchased two batteries for our two readers. One battery was fine. the other battery would not charge. It appeared to be ok immediately after installation but would not charge.Update. After I wrote this review I was contacted and offered a refund. I ordered a third battery which is installed and working fine.

Works great! Definitely worth getting.
This works great in our old Kindle Keyboard 3. Was very easy to replace. No instructions included but I watched a youtube video and figured out how to get the back off to replace. It came partially charged so it was ready to go once installed. My son used this Kindle for a long time, and just got a new one, but with a $20 replacement battery, this is still working so the rest of our household can read with Kindle Unlimited.

Worked well, easy to install. Took 1 star off because it does not stay charged as long as orginal,

Won’t hold a charge
Doesn’t hold a charge worth a flip. Without even turning the Kindle on the battery will die within days. Complete waste of time and money on this battery. Big disappointment.

OK battery but does not seem to charge as fully as original
The battery fit perfectly in the kindle and the kit of screwdrivers worked well to handle the screws. I was able to use the little tool for removing the cover from the kindle with some effort and one of its two (duplicate) tips broke off in the process so it is not the most robust too, but it worked in the end. The reason I gave the batter only a 3 stars is that with it the kindle only holds a charge for about 1 or 2 days with this battery even when not used a lot in contrast to the original battery that used to last weeks. I can't say that the battery is totally at fault since it is an old kindle, but it was hardly used before we stopped using it years ago so I suspect that the battery is just not charging as fully as the original. I didn't return it since overnight charging is good enough for us but i think this is something to keep in mind when buying this one - one of the cheapest i found.

Battery 🔋 for life!
My son ordered this and he fixed my Kindle. One of the first kindles on the market, the ones with the "keyboard" buttons. Nothing touch screen. It still works and I can see all that I had saved. Nothing erased.
