Working perfect !
Bought to replace an old homebrew data modes interface. This Radioarena version is the perfect replacement and works perfect. I'm using it between a Yaesu Ft-818nd and a Acer Aspire laptop with an external miniature soundcard which supplies a mic input (laptop only has internal mic).All in all, a cheap way to get psk, ft8, rtty etc etc in your radio shack. A very fast and efficient service from Radioarena with only two days delivery, can't complain about that!! .....

Essential to use datamodes with a Yaesu FT-450D
This plugs into the dataport on the back of a FT-450D and provides a way of getting audio in and out of the rig. You DO have to use a dedicated separate CAT to USB cable if you wish to fully integrate a PC with the rig. The audio connectors are 3.5mm and plug into, preferably, a separate audio card on your PC.When used in conjunction with such a CAT cable you can then control the radio with software like Ham Radio Deluxe and then use data modes such as PSK-31, RTTY or get CW into the PC ready to be decoded by Ham Radio Deluxe.

Worked Great
Shipping was slower than estimated by about a week but the its performance made up for it. This item worked perfectly right out of the box integrating my computer and radio without a single problem.

Good product and compatible with Linux out of the box (USB connectors appears as a serial port (e.g. /dev/ttyUSB0) and uses a standard kernel module (pl2303.ko)).

J'ai testé ce câble pour la transmission numérique de données sur un Yaesu FT-857, rien à redire sur le fonctionnement (testé sous Linux).
