Let me start by saying that everything about this grill is trash . From the weak motor to the poor craftsmanship. It literally is the worst product that I have ever purchased and I don't recommend it to my worst enemy . I tried roasting a 50 pound pig and 1 hour into the process the motor stopped working the rod that locks into the motor expanded due to the heat . I wound up cutting it up and baking it in the oven, what a horrible experience. Never again...

We roasted a whole 50lb pig on this thing and it worked beautifully! Easy to assemble, easy to use, worked like a charm.

So far so good. I have not used the motor yet. All we did was assemble it and use it like a grill. Made some chicken and pork chops. I will update after Easter. We shall see if it can handle a 25 pound lamb.The motor is supposedly bigger wattage on this. I did plug it in and it did turn and watched it move. You really get what you pay for. I don't know if paying the extra 100 was worth it but I don't want to have to have to adapt my own motor onto it.The reason for the 3 stars is because of the quality of metal used. It is thin and very unforgiving. It will dent and it will scratch very easily. Also the top setting to raise the spit as high as possible is not usable if you want to close the cover. Instructions could be better too. I will be leaving an updated review by the end of April.

I am a professional chef going on 35 plus years. This is by no means a commercial grade piece of equipment, but if you want it out 12 times a year and cook a large piece of meat, well it works just fine. I did a 25-pound bone in prime rib over mesquite and cherry wood for super bowl.It was fantastic. For the $350 shipped to my door you can't have more fun on the spit Roasterie, throwing down a spring lamb next

i used it for a few pigs. but i think.. its been a while.. the biggest pig was like 30 or 35lbs.... had to cut off the head to fit it. but overall i love this little grill

Easy to assemble. Not big enough to roast a piglet, may be adequate for a baby lamb, definitely great for roasting chicken.I will not recommend it if you are looking for a pig roast device
