Just used this for the first time. Boiled 7 eggs PERFECTLY! All of the eggs were fresh. (A couple fresh from the hens!) All cooked perfectly and peeled super quick, easy and clean!! I love it

Purchased the black 7-egg model for use in my camper van. Making a couple hard boiled eggs in the afternoon when the solar is providing energy, and eating them with no wait the next morning. (keep them in the refrigerator)The unit is light, compact and easy to use. The auto shut-off works fine, but I still have to pay attention since there is no audible signal when cooking is done. I like them a little soft so need to get the eggs out and into cold water right away.I don't always make 7 eggs at a time, so had to experiment to get the right water level for fewer eggs since the plastic water cup doesn't have indicators for number of eggs. Just took a few times and now I know (put a small scratch on the side of the cup)The dimension drawing shows the height of the unit as 5.75" but mine is actually 4.75" and it fits in my 5 inch deep drawer with room to spare. Not a big deal and better for me.Overall, this egg boiler is simple, light, compact, easy to use and inexpensive. Can't yet speak to long-term reliability but it works great right now.

As a person battling cancer and trying to thrive during treatment, tolerable protein and good nutrition is essential. Being constantly in varying states of fatigue makes meal prep a real chore. I've transitioned to mostly leafy greens, chicken or turkey, beans and eggs. I like to have a couple of hard boiled eggs with protein waffles and in my salads.This gadget is so much more convenient than boiling eggs in a pot on the stove! Clean up takes seconds. The eggs are so easy to peel, no egg white sticking to the shell. And since it turns itself off, my husband doesn't need to worry that I've forgotten I had put eggs on to boil (leaving no water in the pot, a mess and ruined pot).I love love love this gizmo!Oh, and for those in western states, this uses so very little water. So it's very good for water conservation.It doesn't make any noise that I've noticed. It's large enough to cook 7 eggs in under ten minutes and the eggs come out perfect and delicious. It's so fast, I cooked 1.5 dz eggs in under 30 minutes!

This little guy is super cute and does its job well.My favorite things: It comes with the plastic measuring cup, it holds 7 eggs vs 6, and it has an auto shut off.At my nutritionist's suggestion, I added boiled eggs to my breakfast routine to feel more satisfied. Yogurt, cheese and fruit just weren't getting me there. I had an old egg cooker that I had pushed to the back of the cabinet a few years ago but when I pulled it out I didn't like the look of it so I didn't want to use it.I boiled eggs on the stove for a while but I couldn't hear the timer from places in my home so they would get overcooked and pop open in the pot. I would find my sweet and curious cat snooping at the kitchen door trying to figure out what was going on with the popping.That happened a few times and then I committed to finding something to help.When I saw this cute little guy, I wanted to try right away.Glad I did. It's a good one!Want to add something: if you read the instructions they will tell you to rinse the eggs first. Rinsing makes the shells easier to remove. I put the eggs on the rack and collect the measuring cup and run the rack and cup under the water. Easy! And the shells are always very easy to remove.

This egg cooker is amazing. I just tried my first batch and could not be happier with the results. I cooked 14 eggs, 10 large and 4 extra large (just because that's what I had) and they turned out perfectly. Very, very slightly overcooked, but that can be fixed by adding a tiny bit less water. As per the instructions I put them in cool water as soon as they were finished, and they peeled like a dream. That little punch in the big end made all the difference in the world. I would absolutely, positively highly recommend this to anybody who likes hard boiled eggs. No mess and virtually no work. Just put the water in, put the eggs in turn it on and forget about it until they're finished. Don't forget to keep an eye on the light so that you know when they're finished and you can put them in the cold water. Mine has a permanent place on my very limited counter space. Very good product, works very well.
