Disney Infinity Starter Pack (Xbox 360)

My six year old has Skylanders. My seven year old has Minecraft. We wanted to purchase something for our four year old who also loves playing the computer, we figured as he's a pro at Skylander's but loves Disney that the Disney Infinity system would be perfect for Santa to bring along.We caved early - he got it as a surprise and his face was in absolute shock at seeing it. We also purchased Mike and Violet individual characters so that brought the character total to five. We did initially think it would be a Disney version of Skylander's as that's what the adverts portrayed it as well, it's not.It's sooo much better! All three of my sons adore this, they play this before any of their other toys and other Xbox 360 games. They said it's like Minecraft because you can build your own world and objects, it's like Skylander's because you can use your characters to navigate and complete tasks and it's unique because you can get power pack discs which have lots of varied uses.For example; we purchased a pack of power discs (£3.50 for a pack of 2 at Toys 'r' Us) we had no idea what to expect and neither did our sons. My youngest opened a pack and it had an image of Mickey Mouse's car on it. He popped it onto the Infinity console and Mickey's red car dropped into the game! My sons could now play the game with the addition of 2 Mickey bumper cars all because they added that power disc.It would be hard for any child to grow bored with this system, if they do there are umpteen characters, worlds and power discs that can be purchased for not too much money.Fully recommend this system because it get's their creativity working and provides plenty of fun play time.

My great grandchildren LOVED it! The good thing about it is the games are short and its easier to tear them away from the Xbox whereas when they play other games, they have to reach different levels and don't want to just leave it.I must admit I did worry whether I would get this order in time for Christmas even though I ordered it in plenty of time because of the order mix-up at the suppliers end of things but they went to a lot of trouble to write to me and reassure me that they would do their utmost to sort it and I have to say they needn't have gone to such great lengths but they did so full marks to them for that and thankfully I received the starter pack in time for Christmas! The ordering glitch wouldn't put me off using this supplier again since I think Disney played a major part in this and they went to such great lengths to put things right!

This set was bought as a Christmas present for my daughter and I had no idea what the game was or the concept behind it. We are quite old school in the sense the Xbox isn't connected to the Internet but this game doesn't seem to focus heavily on online content and my children (aged 8 and 10) play happily for hours.On a downside, as the pack contains 3 characters from 3 different films you cannot play in duel player mode without buying additional characters as both characters need to be from the same film to play in that way. Similarly, the set includes the gameplay settings of the 3 films (Monsters Inc, The Incredibles and Pirates of the Caribbean) which means you cannot buy additional characters without also purchasing their "world" to play them in.All in all though the positives far outweigh the minor additional financial annoyances and I am really impressed with both the game and the concept

On Xmas day and after a whole hour of game play (I'm being sarcastic) my 7 year old tells me that the game is boring, so I join her and we play together! After shelling out over £250 on figures, upgrades and the starter pack, I have to say Disney Infinity is supremely disappointing and a complete waste of money, the idea is good and maybe after a lot more developement it will be good but at the moment it really is total garbage. It is littered with "game spoiling" bugs and support requests are ignored, the only advice I've got from them is to swap it for another, but they're all the same (after 3 swaps I gave up). The worse bug is the lack of sound in "Toy Box Mode" which is where most kids want to play and a close second is the frequent game freezes.If I had my choice again I'd go for the Skylanders, which according to the lady at Smyths, "is more stable and better fun."Disney Infinity is 99% hype, 1% enjoyment and not worth the time or energy you'll use contacting support people who can't actually help, or indeed the very large price tag, I'd put a more realistic £50 price tag on it. MY ADVICE IS TO AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!!!

This game is by far one of the best games i have played it easily beats skylanders! It comes with the incredibles Mr. Incredible Monsters University's Sulley and Pirates of the Caribbean Jack Sparrow. The playsets are the most greatest things and toy box is amazing i recommend creating a race track. Incredibles is quite a long playset about fighting stuff and training, Monsters University is a fun creative play set with a lot of pranks involved Pirates is a long, hard play set in my opinion and steering a boat is suprisingly easy! Its a fun game and you get 1 power disc at random i got Alice and wonderland texture for the ground overall i love the game to death and hope you do!

Bought this product for our boys and only one month later the disk for the game is already "unreadable" on the Xbox 360 due to a "ring of death" formed on the disk, and now need to buy a new game disk.

Compré el juego como regalo para mis hijos (8 y 6 años), porque ellos insistieron mucho en el, aunque lo hice con cierta desconfianza. Sin embargo, ahora me alegro de haberlo hecho porque juegan mucho, frecuentemente los dos a la vez y sin pelearse (!!!!).Además, por lo que veo, tiene posibilidades d ampliación, de ir acoplando nuevos personajes, etc. con lo que, insisto, no sólo ha cumplido mis expectativas sino que las ha superado con creces.En cuanto a Amazon, de nuevo tengo que mostrar mi satisfacción por su servicio: rápido y totalmente fiable.

La verdad es que es muy completo y es perfecto para mis dos hijos el unico inconveniente que le veo es que tienes que conprar figuras a parte para que puedan jugar los dos, por lo demas es perfecto.

Un gran juego. Está muy bien y es lo que se espera: una especie de Skylanders, pero de Disney y con ciertas mejores.Pero hay un pequeño problema si se tiene más de un niño. En Skylanders todas las figuras sirven para todas las aventuras. Como viene con tres, los niños pueden jugar juntos desde el principio. Aquí, los escenarios de las películas (Los Increíbles, Piratas del Caribe, etc.) deben ser jugados SOLO por personajes de esa película. Como en el pack de inicio viene sólo uno de cada una, los niños no podrán jugar juntos. Mis hijos lo recibieron en Navidad y les ha encantado, no paran de jugar con él. Pueden jugar en distintos escenarios o crear el suyo propio y esto último es lo que más posibilidades les ofrece.
