Just got my MG HS PHEV. Problem with MG is Apple CarPlay needs cables to connect to your iPhone. Not anymore. This little beauty is so simple to set up. Plug in link to phone and forget about it. Every time you get in the car it automatically links to the phone. So worth getting.

Really disappointed in this product. Bought it for my wife’s car to finally give her wireless CarPlay and apart from the initial setup this device has been basically useless. I thought it was just taking a long time to connect the second time we used it but after no connection for over 5 mins we tried unplugging the dongle and re-plugging it in to try to get it to work, which seems to be the only way to fix it. Having to plug something in every time you get in the car kind of defeats the object of this product so we will go back to using a cable.

This was so easy to set up. The receiver is plugged into the usb socket in my central column so there are no leads or wires visible anywhere. It’s used daily and auto connects every time I get into the car. Music and voice calls are always perfect. It was so good I purchased others as gifts .

The system works, and the right angle bracket means I can have it tucked in nicely against the vehicle. IT does take a moment to connect like with all apple car play there is a lag when you press a button but this is the case even with inbuilt Apple Car play which most people dont know.The only issue I have with this device is that if you dont play music with it, it will disconnect after a while. Playing music it will stay connected the entire time no issues. If you dont play any music after around the 20 minute mark it will stop connection and you have to slid the device back in and out the port.Vehicle is 2020 Kia Sorrento (new facelift model) 4 Hybrid AWD

This is a brilliant product that works seamlessly with my Range Rover. Installing it was quite straight forward. It produces brilliant sound quality and connects automatically when you enter the car. It’s also quite portable and hidden from view when connected. A couple of times the car could not find the connection but I just had to remove it from the usb plug, wait for a few seconds and plug it back to restore the connection. However, this rarely happens. It’s an impressive product and good value for money.

I had tried two other CarPlay adapters before this. Both were so slow to connect that they were impractical. You had to wait nearly 2 minutes for the thing to load and get maps to show up on the screen in time before you started moving. They got slower with every session and one even stopped working on day 3.This one has been the best one. Let me start with its size. It’s so small and easily hidden that it doesn’t feel like you have a new device in the car but you’ve silently upgraded the car.It is really quick to start. It loads up in seconds, just about the same it takes for the other systems in the car to be ready. By the time you look up your destination on maps, CarPlay is ready to start the route on the screen. No friction, no glitches there.
