bought for photography to try some long exposures during the day takes some getting use to but gets the job done if your trying to go the cheap route.Once youve gotten a few images youll want to buy a real nd filter.

I purchased this glass to dip my toe into long exposure photography and I am very happy with my choice to do so.I attached the glass to my  Fujifilm X100T  by using the filter adapter from the  JJC LH-JX100 Silver Metal Lens Hood Adapter Ring  and a  Fotodiox Metal Step Up Ring  on the camera and then held the glass to the step-up ring with rubber bands stretching back to my camera body. That setup worked very well for me even in windy conditions.I will say that the glass needed constant cleaning with wipes and a microfiber as it is a smudge magnet. Additionally, if you want color shots you will have to correct for the green cast of the glass in Photoshop to get your colors right. Still, for the savings over a better 10+ stop ND filter, you can't go wrong.

I use this glass for long exposure photography. It works great, at a significant cost savings over purchasing a filter designed for my camera lens. I am considerably less impressed, however, with the rubber bands used to affix this glass to my camera. What a let down.

Was what I wanted yes! Works great for looking at the sun and solar eclipses... Sorry I'm not using for welding. However it would work great to replace on a welders mask.

I didn't even use this for welding I'm using it for black and white long exposure daytime photography I captured many interesting images with this glass.

It works great! Just as I had hoped!

I needed a shade 12 in order to view the sun. Works great.
