This shampoo smells so good, cleans and moisturizes...unfortunately, it also caused huge amounts of my hair to break and fall out. As I was brushing through it after I washed it, I could literally feel strands breaking off. This had not happened before I used it and within one week of quitting it, the breakage and hair loss reduced by about 75%. I know there is some information out there about how Maui may use a formaldehyde-based ingredient. If you begin to notice more hair loss, I would discontinue it immediately.

I tried joining the No-Poo movement years ago, and after a year of rinsing and waiting, (and putting my greasy hair in braids and ponytails) I finally accepted defeat- my hair is simply to fine and my scalp too oily for it to work for me. My sister who was studying cosmetology at the time told me her instructor taught most people over-shampoo, but you can never over-condition, so on a whim I tried using just conditioner in my hair- and miracle of miracles, the conditioner carried away all the oils, leaving my hair soft, but full of moisture!Fast forward about five years, and and one baby who drinks my bath water later, and I found myself wanting to find a cleaner, more natural conditioner or other No Poo option- but everything I found was $16+, and I can't swing that. After giving up the search as hopeless, I stumbled on this product, and it has been fantastic! I still try to wait till baby has left the bath before using it, but don't feel nearly so stressed if she does have a swallow or two. It is a couple dollars cheaper than my previous conditioner, smells light and clean, and still leaves my hair silky while rinsing away excess oils. I tried two of the formulas- this Bamboo fibers is technically a bit too rich for my ultra fine hair, but hasn't caused any problems, and if I have to use a scented product, it's clean bright scent is my favourite. I also got the white bottle, (Apuati or something?) which is a lighter weight, and ideal for my hair type, and I like it, but in the end I prefer the bamboo scent.Regarding complaints about it being too thick, I find that it IS difficult to get out- so I hold the bottle by the bottom, and swing it down a couple times, using centrifugal force to move the cream to the mouth of the bottle, and then it is easy-peasy to dispense just the right amount with a light squease. Alternatively, one could perhaps add a small amount of water, but then you are messing with the balance of preservatives, and could encourage bacterial growth, so swinging seems the safer choice to me- although at the end of a bottle I do add water, just to get the last two or three servings out.All told, I am really enjoying this product, and will definitely continueto subscribe & save.

I've ordered this product 121 times because I really enjoy it. However, I have noticed recently that I can no longer remove the cap. This is important because the products are quite viscous and a good couple of showers worth of shampoo and conditioner are left at the bottom of the bottles they can only be accessed by removing the cap and adding water. The bottles and cap have been re-engineered as shown in the photos to prevent the cap being removed without great effort. This may be an attempt to reduce spillage in transit, something already addressed by the grippers. It can't be lost on the company that this modification will increase profits by reducing the number of showers we can get out of a single bottle, which already isn't very many. This anti-customer stance has caused me to cancel my recurring subscription and seek a different company not looking to squeeze every ounce out of their customers. How unfortunate.

It just smell nice. But it doesn’t nourish the hair.This one in particular came as if it was used already.

I really wanted to like this because it had a nice smell and my hair felt so soft after using it. However, about 10 days into using this shampoo my scalp was super itchy all the time and I started losing about 10x the amount of hair I normally do. Normally I shed a good bit, but usually after about the 3rd time of running my hands through my hair, nothing comes out. with this, I would lose about 10-12 strands EVERY SINGLE TIME I would lightly run my finger through my hair. I also had to clean out my hair brush every single time I brushed my hair. I am on my 4th day after I stopped using the shampoo and I notice that I am not losing as much hair now.

I've used several of the Maui Moisture products and none of them has disappointed. This one though, is my absolute favorite. It smells amazing, if you like other bamboo fragrance products you'll love this conditioner...it smells clean. The scent lasts for 3 days at least, which I like because I don't wash my hair every day. I'll find myself smelling my hair throughout the day because it's so lovely.It's very moisturizing and leaves my hair feeling silky and smooth afterwards. I also think my hair is starting to grow again since I've been using this shampoo and conditioner consistently for a couple months now, so that was a nice bonus.I will say this is the only conditioner from them that has been a little hard to squeeze out of the bottle because the plastic isn't very pliable. But, that's not a dealbreaker, and it's never been an issue with the other conditioners from Maui Mosture, so maybe it's just because the bamboo conditioner is thicker.I will definitely be buying this again, I just set up the subscribe and save so they'll deliver it every 4 months automatically. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Makes my hair feel soft and smooth and shiny, but not frizzy or oily. Great conditioner and I will buy more scents to try.

The one on the left is from the store and on the right is Amazon. You can see the one from the store says “crafted in the USA” and the one from Amazon says “made in USA with U.S. and/or imported ingredients” I bought this because the one I got from the store was running out. When I opened the one from Amazon, it was a completely different color and smelled like vinegar. The one from the store is more white and smells amazing. and the one from Amazon is clear and smells like vinegar. The labels look almost identical.

De todos los productos que se venden en México de maui Moisture, creo que es el que mejor se ha adaptado a mi tipo de piel y cabello, realmente protege la cutícula y mantienen el cabello limpio, ligero, sedoso, brillante y con aspecto brillante, sí ayuda muchísimo para los cabellos grasos con sequedad y quebradizos. También las personas han reaccionado con comentarios positivos a cómo luce mi cabello, sí lo recomiendo.

Conditioner is very good👍😊 n smell good but i can't squeeze easily. It's take time n get more to use. And this is waste of expensive product. Please take care of this problem.

I was really suffering from hair loss issues. Using this helped tremendously. Although, it doesn't lather much so you may need to use more product to get the desired foam. The seller was prompt in delivery too.
