UPDATE:This is my 6th purchase and these are awesome! I’ve never had to replace and they do NOT fringe or warp. The elastic keeps it shape too so I’ve never had to adjust even after many runs on the trail! Pro tips:1. Put the elastics in and wear your shoes a couple of days with just the elastics. They look like laces so no one will know and you can adjust for the right fit before cutting them off to install the plates2. Do NOT cut off the end of the elastics all the way to where you think you need them at. I cut to where I still have about 4 inches to work with before putting on the plates3. Put you shoes ON, double the elastic over (as shown in the supplied instructions) and then place your plate on. Screw the screw in to hold the plate. Do the other side the same way. Don’t worry about the extra elastic sticking out yet.4. Adjust the laces to make sure they connect as you wish, the plates lay in the center, etc. If you need to take up more elastic or move the laces around, remove the screw and adjust accordingly.5. Once you are completely satisfied, THEN cut off the extra elastic under the plates.If you cut off too much of the elastic at first, there is NO way to add it back on. Leaving the elastic a little long while you install them does not affect the install at all and allows for mistakes, especially when doing these for the 1st time.It IS tedious but if you follow these tips, you will want these in ALL your shoes with laces as they just look so much better too. I get sooo many compliments and it is so much easier to just slip on and go.Don’t hesitate to buy!!Well, I feel like I’ve earned a Masters degree in tieless shoelaces after installing these suckers. Definitely not easy. But I do like the finished product & the ease of slipping on my run abouts so if they last, definitely worth it. Just prepare yourself to take it slow & careful & definitely follow the instructions!

I don't like tying my shoes, so these help so much! They are a great quality, and easy to adjust to your correct size. I will note! You need to use flame to search the edge so it doesn't Frey after you cut it to your size. Other than that, it's a great color and awesome time saver!

Put these on my work boots so i didnt have to keep retying my shoes multiple times during the day. This helps make it easy to slip your shoes on and holds it tension. Over time might need to adjust them but works very well.

Great Product! Took a bit to adjust my sise. But once set correctly it works magic! No hassle of spending time tying laces.

I got one of these earlier this year to make my work boots faster to get on/off and ended up loving them. They only take a couple minutes to trim and install, and then they are both easy to use and really good looking. Overall they look like regular laces with a simple metal clasp at the top.I ended up getting several more for other pairs of shoes, and here's where my problem is: the quality control on these is poor. I've bought four sets of these laces so far and two of them have been defective and needed replacement.One shipped without any of the clasps or fasteners at all. One shipped with the fasteners, but after struggling for several minutes to get the screws into it I realized the fastener holes on it weren't actually threaded: the hole was totally smooth, and the screws were just jamming up against the sides.I like the product, but at the moment I have a personal defect rate of 50% on 4 sets. I still recommend these laces, but look them over carefully on arrival and be prepared for waits and returns.

My daughter and I love the rainbow look, what a good way to update some shoes. I got these for my 4yr old because I wanted her to be able to use a pair of lace up high tops by herself at school. They were easy to install, but they're still kind of difficult for her to put on by herself. I think especially for a small shoe (the picture is on a toddler size 11), it's hard to get the right balance of loose enough to get on and off easily while being tight when you're wearing them. I probably used a little more than half of one lace on each shoe. Being high tops doesn't help, but once I got them loose enough so she could get them on by herself, they're still pretty loose when she's walking. However, having the buckle does help with that so I like that feature. Once she gets used to stretching the laces to get the shoe on, maybe I'll try shortening them more.When I first tried to install these, one of the buckle pieces had a bad thread and wouldn't stay on. I contacted the seller and they were amazing at communicating and sent a replacement immediately, even though it had taken me a month since receiving the order to try and use these. That was really impressive and deserves 5 stars, but I still love the laces too.
