UK Custom Covers RP238 Tailored Soft Top Roof Half Cover Black - To Fit Audi TT 2006-2014

I was keen to see how well the cover fitted as I wasn't sure about how it would be properly secured to my car.I found the fitting instructions could be slightly improved with some pictures regarding the tabs that fit in the front part of the door. It took me a while to identify the actual tabs and how they slotted between the door panel and front quarter panel. However once I figured it out the fit was really good.This actually enables very secure locking of the cover and stops it from being removed or flying off the car in a high wind. The boot lid traps the rear part of the cover and there are also two velcro loops that go around the wing mirrors.Overall a quality piece of equipment.

I bought this cover as a temporary cure to water ingress.Although the instructions are poor the cover was easy to fit.The main fabric is fairly heavy with a plastic coating on the back to make it waterproof. The quality of construction of the cover is good with a soft edging strip to help protect the car’s paintwork.It poured with rain the first night I had the cover fitted with excellent results, dry carpets.My only disappointment is that although the cover is waterproof the rain water soaks into the top layer and it does not repel the water in droplets. It would have been so easy to sort this, hence only 4 stars.In summary, it’s a good cover but buy some fabric waterproofing to get the best out of this product.

Looks great fits very well

Fits nice and snug, seems to be made with a great deal of care, the seams are all good and well stitched and the cover and inner lining material are of a good robust quality. it's much more than I expected for the cost. It's a bit of a tight fit, but I expect it to get easier as it 'wears in' with the weather.Very happy to recommend.

Good fit and well made. However, mine was sent covered in mould! For a premium cover this wasn’t expected and is pretty poor. Clearly been used before.

It fits perfectly, the instructions that came with it were incorrect but it soon became obvious what to do . It protects the roof from the sun and bird droppings and is easy to remove and pop in the boot either in the case provided or just folded up

The top came in a nice cordura nylon case along with some rather sparse instructions. General inspection found the quality of the material and stitching is good, the overall shape fits quite well over the MK2 TT Roadster's top. The surfaces of the cover which touch the paint are felt lined so it's just a matter of keeping these areas clean before putting the cover on the car to avoid any scratches.Installation is relatively easy; open both door and the trunk. Arrange the two door-wedges into the gaps on either end of the door and close the door and secure the straps around the mirrors. Pull the rear of the cover back into the trunk area and close the trunk to secure it.UPDATE - After about six months of use, I am changing my 5-star to a 2-star rating for reasons described below.I received this cover back in July of 2023 and it is now January 2024 and as you can see in these pictures, the top is starting to show serious signs of failure after just 6-months of daily use. These images were taken with the cover placed upside down on a wash-stand with a LED light placed underneath to show the holes that are developing through the material. As you can see, the fabric itself is actually starting to break down.In addition, the outside surface has already started to fade as you can see in the last image where there is a dark line where that section of the cover was protected from sunlight when the deck lid is closed on it. Not something I expected living in Germany where sunlight and intense heat is not really an issue.I have been using the cover for daily use since I received it, and when not in use it is folded up and put into the trunk. Anytime the cover is wet, it is laid over a wash stand to dry. I have not abused it in anyway,I have contacted the company UK Covers directly, to find out how they plan to do to resolve this issue. I'm not sure if this is a manufacturing defect where their supplier used inferior material or if the material itself was substituted by a supplier and the manufacturer was not informed.Thankfully, UK Custom Covers has shown excellent customer service, and upon receipt of my email, are replacing the cover with a new one free of charge. Hopefully this one lasts more than 6-months.
