I use these to pull down my bird feeders, and then raise them so the deer won’t eat all my seed. They work great! I was concerned after reading reviews saying some people couldn’t get them to retract. But after I ordered them, the manufacturer sent an email explaining how to raise and lower hanging items, and written instructions in the package as well. I’m very happy with these retractable hangers.

The BEST! Have had 3 other brands that brake easy. The cord retracted with force when removing the plant from the cord hook. The plastic piece adjoining the cord hook broke apart causing the cord to retract into the pulley and not retrievable or the cord jammed at the pulley height and wouldn't pull down. Standard operation with all 3 brands, the cord retracts to the pulley without the weight of the plant and a chair or hanger is needed to lower the cord to rehang the plant. WAOST brand has multiple cord locking levels. When the plant is pulled down by the cord and removed from the hook the cord stays making it reachable to hook your plant and raise to the desired height. You pay more and you get more. There is a learning curve for this type of product.

Did not work for one of my larger hanging plants with a ceramic pot, it was too heavy and would not stay up. But works really well for the smaller plants and particularly the plastic planters. However the line is very thin and I hope it lasts. The device itself is kind of ugly, but I can overlook that for the convenience of being able to pull down and water hanging plants with ease. The included carabiner is a little small and I had some trouble attaching it to the thicker ropes or wood circles on my macrame hangers, but it is easy enough to add a larger carabiner to accommodate those.

Strong. Easy to use. So much easier to water plants and adjusts very easily to the height you need. Very pleased.

I had three of these pulleys, and I put them in the service at the same time on the same day. The one cord pulled out within the matter of a few hours. Luckily, I didn’t have my flower pot in it yet and none of my pets were under it or around it when it fell. the second one failed before I took it down and took it out of service. The cord will not retract back up into it any more, so these are a liability around pets, children and anybody else. These pulleys will hold up to 30 pounds so if you have something 30 pounds break loose and fall think about that I don’t want that in my home.

I am short and have been climbing up and down on a stool to get to my hanging plants...well not this year thanks for a great product

Like so many others have said, when I pulled the pully down to water my baskets, it just continued to keep going down. I can no longer be on a ladder, so thats why these were to be a great solution.

I bought these hangers to hold a potted fern from my front porch. This pot w/ fern weighed 7.8 pounds, well under the 30 pounds listed as load capacity. I viewed the video with instructions a couple of times as well as read all the reviews to make sure I was using these hangars properly. I tried the pot on all three hangars sent to me, following the instructions for locking it in place as instructed. As soon as I placed the pot on the hook/carabiner the cord either held for possibly 10 seconds or just released immediately, dropping the pot to the greatest amount allowed.UPDATE: The company read my review and has contacted me in hopes of resolving the issue. They gave me more concise instructions to work the pulleys. Pulleys are still not working, but the company is trying to work with us to resolve this, which is a good thing.SECOND UPDATE: I did receive from this company three replacement pulleys. This company, in the meantime, put up a new video that demonstrates how to operate these pulleys. The new pulleys do operate correctly and I have them hanging plants and operate the pulley system to water them. The plants that hang from these pulleys weigh no more than eight pounds after being watered.As in all mechanical items, there are some that do not work properly. With the new video I was able to get one pulley to work, although the other two did not. These pulleys were sent back.I may not have received perfectly operating pulley system hangers on my first try, but this company worked VERY hard to address my problem and make things right with me. Because I now have three correctly operating hangers, and their exceptional customer service, I am changing my score to 5-stars.

I'm returning. Hanger just kept falling down on a 5lb plant. Was supposed to hold 30lbs.

Pulley will not hold plant.Return depot is not convenient.Review is not posted. Let me try another way.
