Well made, sturdy, steady, flexible shelving positions, attractive, easy to assemble.
Watch out for other brands that have 'sturdiness' issues...flimsy. These are solid...holding up 3 guitar combo amps with an extra accessories shelf with 'lips' to keep my guitar stuff from falling to the floor....all without breaking a sweat. Love it.

Shelving for Comic Book Binders
Very easy to put together, but you need two people. My son had 2 5 shelve bookcases for his comic binders, the shelves were starting to bend so he was looking for something stronger, This unit was perfect it fit the space and the shelves are super sturdy. We will be buying another unit to replace the second bookcase.

Homedant for the Win!
Homedant 5 shelf steel shelving unitPerfect fit for a small (think hobbit-small), 1 bedroom apt (think 475 sq ft). I ordered this unit foremost for its dimensions, specifically that it was no more than 29 inches wide. It’s a great fit next to one of those regular-sized 4 tiered, steel storage units that you can find just about anywhere (photo: the Homedant is the unit on the right). The contents were nicely organized and everything was included. Mine did not come with a mallet.Pros-variations of support beams. I have mine set to “basket” around two-thirds of the shelf—sides & back—& “basic” on the front (see photo).-it has 5 shelves.-the boards are reversible: white on one side, natural grain on the other.Cons-like others have commented, the manual’s instructions are confusing. Definitely watch the videos, then the manual will make more sense.-not the easiest one person job, initially, but accomplish-able.Takeaways: Don’t be put off that it feels “flimsy” when 1st assembling it. Once everything’s connected, it becomes quite sturdy and secure. Definitely use a rubber mallet or hammer with a towel to secure the beams to the frame. Try to assemble it near its intended location. It will be easier to move once you’re finished. Otherwise, I recommend that 2 people move it when it comes time for that. Don’t go over the specified 264lb weight limit. I have mainly paper for crafting/card-making on mine, with a few other odds & ends as well, none of which will have problems being under limit. So far, I’m completely happy with this storage unit. It feels sturdy, holds quite a bit, and was the perfect size for my needs. I’m not sure why others gave it negative reviews, or how the one broke from someone else on here? Feels like a keeper to me. I 100% recommend it. If anything changes, I’ll update.

Inexpensive and utilitarian.
Putting these shelves together was pretty easy. They do not use bolts or screws of any kind, instead simply fitting tabs into slots. You do have to pound things into place securely, so use of a rubber mallet (not included) is recommended. I did not have such a mallet, so II used a rubber-handled heavy screwdriver and it worked fine. You could probably use a normal hammer with a thick cloth if you were careful. As long as you watch which way the bracket holes are facing (small end down all of the time), you really cannot mess this up. I installed the first unit in about 1/2 hour by myself and the second in about 20 minutes. The shelves are nice, and you can space them however you want. The frames can be installed to either provide a standard shelf or inset in the frame so that each shelf has a lip about 2 inches tall. You can even mix and match. I also like that they come with a clip so that if you buy two units you can clip them together! The shelves themselves seem a little flimsy. I definitely would not want to put the maximum 200 lbs on them. In fact, I would recommend not dropping anything heavy on them, as they seem like they might crack. Nevertheless, I have over 100 lbs of dumbbells and barbells on mine and it is holding them just fine.Overall, if you want an inexpensive shelving solution that does not need heavy dropping or rugged treatment, then these should work for you.
