Perfect for what we needed
We moved into our house which had a large clawfoot bathtub in a tiny bathroom which made it challenging to find a curtain rod that was suitable. This rod is perfect for this space (fits around the circumference of the tub).We like how it is mounted into the wall (rather than the ceiling) as you can then adjust to how high you want to put it. It was fairly easy to install, even though my partner and I aren’t the most experienced DIYers! We had to drill into tile, and I think we needed to buy specific expanding wall plugs (as they did not come with the product), but was easy to find. Very sturdy and matches our bathroom fittings too.

Bad fit
This shower rail isn't fit for purpose, unfortunately I bought it a year before I actually took it out of the box as my husband died! Once I got my head straight and carried on with renovations, I realised that the shower rail is wrong. There is on other way it can be assembled.

Easy fix but not strong
Fitted easily to bathroom wall but it doesn't hang level and once you put the shower curtain on it it isn't strong enough to support the weight and the curtain then falls to the front

Really good shower rail with a bit of help from mitre glue.
This is a great quality item to use in your bath room. You need to understand that is is light weight metal tubing and the screws used to secure the metal tubing do not take a lot of over pleasure to strip them out. This is what I did to make mine brilliant1. assemble the tubes in the correct orientation You will find 4 curved tubes and 2 short lengths.2. place the completed tubes with the wall mounts to the wall and mark where you need to drill and fix the top hat mountings.3. Once you have the mountings fitted and in the right place. This is were the magic happens. buy your selves some "mitre Joint super glue and activator" If you look at your assembled rail it has 6 assembly points. I glued the2 bends with the top hat mounting points first. I did not activate the glue till I had jointed the left bend to the middle short length with the added screw tightened, you will not have to tighten the screws very hard as the super glue will hold it brilliantly. then I fitted the right hand side with the glue. once the screw was in place I sprayed the joints with the activator. This set the glue off and made the tube sections as one.4. I did the same for the other 2 bends and the other short piece. then I sprayed the activator to set the glue.5. this leaves you with 2 half that you can glue and screw together. Once you have done this spray the last 2 joints with activators . you have a very solid very light strong shower rail. Mount it to the wall and enjoy it.

Fast shower option over a bath
We moved into a new house which had no shower. The opportunity to re-vamp the bathroom will come, but we wanted a fast shower solution right now. I installed this item over the bath along with two shower curtains giving 360 degrees protection from splashing water onto the un-tiled walls or the floor. Really pleased with the result. The rail is much more sturdy than the ones with only one wall fixing. Our wall is brick, so the item is 'as solid as a rock' but a weaker plasterboard partition would need careful good quality fixing and possibly a ceiling chain on one 'corner' for extra support if you were unable to find a wooden noggin for both wall brackets.
