Excellent book!
This book covers virtually everything you would need to know about different herbs and plants and mushrooms that survive on their own in the wilderness. This is definitely a must for someone new to hiking and learning about such plants or for the experience that just wants to know more about it. My niece was overly excited when she received the book. They live in the Pacific Northwest and travel to Alaska often into the wilderness. She’s looking forward to using this book as a guide.

Wonderful Book
I bought 2 copies so I could share with a family member. So glad I did. Good information and includes some recipes for each edible.

Covers the just with something to remember.
This book was one of the best reads of for the end of 2020. Lots of useful recipes and different types of edible plants. I absolutely loved some of her personal story's I find myself being reminded of some on a daily basis. I would not recomend this to a young child unless being read to them minus the recipes, definitely an adult read but a good one at that. If you are getting interested in edible plants this is a very good start, she even goes over where they grow and when to pick. Although this is an american plant guide she does mention some foreign lands with unique story's as well definitely worth taking a look at and again best read of 2020 by far.

Not what I was hoping for
This book is ok. But it doesn’t provide nearly enough information to forage safely, especially when it comes to mushrooms. Not enough pictures or enough information about easily confused plants/fungi. If you already know this info then the book is fine I guess...but then why do you need the book at all?
