Humboldts is a superior product
I was surprised by this product. It really does grow everything. I have never had a healthier bunch of plants than i do now. My little ladies went from seedlings to vegetative stage practically over night. Definitely a superior product.

Easy to apply with seed spreader
Because fertilizers take time to do their thing, it’s hard to say how effective it has been, but it appears to be helping some of our plants recover from last season. In addition to being a mix of appropriate fertilizers in one package, I like the options for use: dilute or spread as you would with seed.

Failed packaging
Product arrived with a split seam on one side, I managed to get most of it transferred to another container so that was disappointing. However it dissolved quickly with just a little agitation, hoping my plants like it.

Multi purpose balanced fertilizer
I have a raised garden and have been looking for a balanced fertilizer to keep my plants healthy. This fertilizer came well packaged ready to use. I easily add this powder to my watering can and water my raised garden beds. I have noticed that my plants are growing consistently and look great. I like not having to use multiple fertilizers for each type of plant. Overall this is a great balanced fertilizer.

Not powdery and light colored, like product photos
I followed the directions for indoor houseplants and diluted 1/4 tsp with (about half gallon - directions did not specify amount) water for my weekly watering. I took before and after photos of 3 plants (1 indoor, 1 outdoor in covered porch, and 1 succulent pot outdoor in the sun) watered with the fertilizer once a week for 4 weeks. It is fall, almost winter so there is not as much sunlight. My indoor house plant is 14 years old and gets very little sunlight by the window this time of year. The bamboo in the porch showed the biggest difference. The fertilizer had a bit of a fishy smell (probably the kelp ingredient) the first couple of weeks after opening but I think it has changed to more of a dog food smell. It’s not bad or overpowering but there is a faint smell. Before using this fertilizer I very rarely fertilized these plants, only fertilizing my in ground plants. I just started using it on my lemon and tangerine trees. It’s too early to say if there is a difference but I like how easy it is to use.

Plentiful Application if Used as a Liquid
This product is not a powder. You will not be able to use it with a spreader. When you open the bag, you will see the product is sticky, black grandules that look like caviar (not that I ever had it, saw it a lot in movies). One of the things I like about this product is that if you are using it as a liquid application, you will get plenty from one bag. The measurements are 1 tablespoon per gallon of water (measurement amounts are listed on the bag. When you put it in water, it dissolves quickly, making a light brown colored solution. The product comes with its own measuring spoon. You'll have to rub the sticky smear of the product off the bottom of the spoon to see its measurement size. It says it's 29.6 CC's. 29.6 CC's is equivalent to 2 tablespoons. Which is odd because on the bag, there is no corresponding measurement listed for using 2 tablespoons (should have made the spoon 1 tablespoon).I don't know its effectiveness yet. Just used it on some veggies I planted today. I did a test case. Some things I used the products, matching set did not get product. So, in some weeks, I will return to update how it turns out.
