More convenient than washing rugs every week. Dries quickly too and even when wet, it's not too slippery. Starts off with a strong odor but it goes away with use. The underside still smells, so you might need to flip it and use the other side too in order to get rid of the smell. If it gets dirty, a simple scrub with water does the job.

It has not needed any care, but I'll probably rinse it off and let it dry out every six months or so. I was excited to get it. The moment I placed it in the bathroom the awful smell spread all over. I was thinking maybe I should somehow to clean it or wash it. So I did, washed it with shampoo a few times, left at the balcony for air circulation. But the smell was the same. Sooo bad! Please avoid it! Waist of money. I couldn’t even return it after all.

The mat works well regarding water retention.The issue I have is that it has started to lift up on both ends after 2 weeks of use.I emailed Mondano customer service twice and have received no response. It has been several weeks.So it is unknown if this is a problem or not with the quality.
