Counseling: A Comprehensive Profession (8th Ed)

I ordered this book for my counseling grad class and Amazon had the best price. I returned it only because a friend was able to let me use her book.

Good for basic understanding

In general, I found the book to be very helpful. It provided a quite clear and comprehensive explanation of what the field of counseling involves. The best part was that it provided organized information on the core areas of the counseling field. Therefore, it might even be a good study guide for the National Counselor Exam (NCE).

The book is a bit scattered but provides an excellent overview of Counseling.
