I prefer these milder toys of natural tones for my little ones. The opposite of stimulating, this busy board offers a child a way to transition into quiet time. For example, one can count objects, as a precursor to addition and subtraction. Alternatively, group like-objects as a means to strengthen logic skills.Any child, from baby to kindergarten, can benefit from this parent’s tool. With the abundance of objects, this will last for many, many uses.

Starting with a warning: There are some really small pieces here that wouldn't be safe for kids under five unless you're there to play with and observe them very closely, in my opinion.That said, the box and pieces are all really well made and our grandkids LOVE manipulating each one. You can totally see how their coordination and senses are being stimulated. And they can remain completely absorbed for 20 minutes or so.

I love this sensory set, it comes with several tools, and other pieces. I really like that it comes with a tray to keep everything organized. The magnifying glass actually works. This comes with dino fossils figures and Little Rock fossils, translucent rocks, wooden rings, wooden balls and wooden eggs. This is awesome for a Dino themed sensory bin but several of the pieces can be used for other themed sensory bins. I could see some items posing a swallow risk for younger littles or littles who are prone to putting things in their mouth. Our daughter is 4 and never went through putting things in her mouth stage so all pieces are perfectly fine for her. However if you find that some pieces are worrisome it’s easy to leave those out and use what you are comfortable with. The smaller pieces could be saved for later on. I highly recommend this set. It’s a great variety edition to add to sensory bin resources.

This set has so many pieces to create a fun sensory bin or incorporate into other activities. We use this with play dough and kinetic sand. The Dino skeletons and the wooden tools are our favorites. Other ways I plan to use the kit is to freeze them in water and have my kid break them free.We haven't used much of the other parts as they're quite small and possible choking hazard for my kid at this age. Even with close supervision they're small and easy to misplace.For the price of the kit it would've been nice to get some kind of media (sand, kinetic sand) or bin to play with. Some of the items seem pointless too like the wooden rings but we'll get creative!

I got this for my daughter who has a variety of dinosaur toys so I thought she would like it. Unfortunately she found it to be very dull and uninteresting. The toys included are cheap and broke very quickly. Overall we weren't satisfied with this toy.

Out of the box, the quality of all of the pieces is very good. I like to use these pieces to hide in kinetic sand for my daughter and she loves to find the pieces. Great for imaginative play.

My almost 3YO has recently become interested in burying things in kinetic sand and then using various tools to dig them up. This sensory tray will be perfect for that. If I'm brave, i may even bust out the rice to add to this sensory experience. I think it would be very fun to also use sand, but I'm not that brave to do that indoors. Haha.The pieces are fairly small for a young toddler, but definitely manageable for older toddlers who don't put things in their mouths. I love the divided tray because it gives them the opportunity to create little rooms or different scenes.My only issue with this is that I'm not sure exactly how to store it. I wish it came with a lid or a box or a container or something. I might use one of my A3 or A4 size zipper mesh pallets and zip the whole thing in there.
