Decent Quality, But Hex Screw Stripped
Decent build quality overall, but hex screw for Neutral wire connection stripped easily (inside, not threads) and hex wrench slips in both directions, so permanently affixed now. A close second to the Marinco equivalent, from my perspective.

Notable improvements over the previous generation Wattgate connector.
While slightly more expensive than the previous series of connectors, the new Wattgate EVO series are worth the price for the upgrades they've included. The whole connector is now either completely transparent or smoked, so It gives your main cable a classy look. Gone are the Phillips head screws replaced with hex button head or cap head screws. The bottom piece that the screws insert into for strain-relief now have threaded brass inserts. The previous generation just used a self-tapping screw into plastic. I used this connector and it's counterpart to make a new main cable for my preamp/processor. I used Belden 83803 cable and finished it up with Flexo Clean Cut FR braided covering. (Black with white tracer) You end up with an easy DIY power main that is just as good as any of the ultra expensive power main cables at a fraction of the cost. As an added caveat, you can make them the perfect length for your system so you don't have excess coiled power cable making your home theater cabling like a rat's nest.
