ALPIDEX Climbing harness for teenagers and adults EN 12277 full body harness infinitely adjustable

A very good company to buy from. Excellent harness. But I did have to return it due to the weight ratio to body type. Weight spot on for my childs weight range but did not tighten up to my childs skinny body.

The rope attachment point has a sewn red protector to prevent/reduce (?) wear to this important fixing tie-in point. When the user is suspended by the rope (either abseiling, during/after a fall or when holding a fall) the red protctor does not necessarily cover the suspension point. This could lead, in a short time, to excessive and dangerous wear.As the harness straps that go over the shoulders are attached to the tie-in point via the shoulders and the leg straps, when belaying through the tie=in point, any tension is taken via the leg loops . This tension will only be, in part, taken through the shoulder straps if they are tightened up so much that they restrict free movement when climbing.The harness requires a strap around the torso (slightly higher than the waist) so that the tension when abseiling or belaying can be distributed across the back.This harness has not been adequately tested in use. I highly recommend that this harness is not used for rock climbing or mountaineering. The designer appears not to comprehend its use for these activities.
