Innovative, near perfection.
The Vision FG is a joy to handle, fidget and admire the overall beauty. The Superlock is a great design innovation and I suspect future knife designers will capitalize on. Much has been said in online reviews about the *terrible" clip. Because no two hands or grip positions are alike, a hotspot could occur for some. It doesn't for me. But to be proactive I ordered the Civivi Titanium clip off Amazon prior to knife arrival and will swap it out for Titanium. (The Vision FG will use the "A" pack that comes w/ the clip, #8 torx)The knife came in flawless condition with the exception of blade centering and a stiff actionwhich I tweaked and it now fidgets fantastically. The knife fills the hand very comfortably, feels solid and beefy. The G10's are grippy. This is my 3rd Civivi w/ Damascus; the Yonder & Mini Praxis. This Vision Damascus out classes those even though they are quite good. This is a purchase I have no regrets over, love it and highly recommend. A very substantial knife, razor sharp too.

Beautiful Knife
Civivi is ruling the budget/moderately priced knife world. This Vision FG is a lot of knife for the money. The action is super smooth and the Damascus blade looks great. My Damascus pattern is also symmetric, which often times the patterns are not.The Super Lock can be used to deploy or retract the knife with a simple wrist flick. I’d also bet it’s as strong as a Triad Lock or Shark Lock. Once it’s engaged, it’s not going to fail unless you’re doing something silly with the knife. This also came extremely sharp; it’s sharper than most factory blades I get.I got it in white so I could dye the scales. I used Rit Dye Midnight Navy and it came out looking great. FYI - this Rit color is less blue and more of a deep purple. I love the way it came out even though it wasn’t what I was expecting. So great knife at a reasonable price. I don’t think anyone will be disappointed with this.

Super cool EDC!!
This knife is really unique in the color, blade shape and flipper functionality! I like everything about it and it seems it was made well for EDC.I actually dropped it after 5 hours of owning it, and it landed directly on the tip from 3-4 feet on hardwood. I bent the tip a little, but it's still super sharp and fixable with some TLC. And when I say bent... it's very minor. You would have to be looking for it. I'm actually glad that it's a little flexible to bend a tad and not totally snap from a hard fall... Exactly what I wanted in an EDC . It did break my heart a little though because this knife has memorizing beauty! It is razor sharp out of the box. The blade is very large, thin and sharp. The lock mechanism functionality is really cool too...

Very nicely made and SHARP!
I usually only buy American made knives but Civivi is making some well designed, great looking folders with excellent reviews so I decided I'd try one. It lives up to the positive reviews! Beautifully made, unique fun fidgety opening and closing mechanism that locks open very securely. It's as sharp, maybe sharper out of the box as any knife I've ever purchased. This won't be the last Civivi I buy.

Great alternative to the more expensive brands!
I made this purchase to see what the rave was all about based on the design of Demko shark lock. The size is great for EDC in the front pocket taking up no more room than the average knife with it's thickness. The material quality is as expected from the newer designs from Civivi, it is awesome. I have larger than average hands but it has a comfortable grip with no loss in dexterity. The blade sharpness is razor sharp from the factory as all other Civivi knives I've acquired have arrived to me. I even bought the upgraded titanium pocket clip to help elevate the looks of this thing. If you want to see what the design is all about like I did before spending more on a Demko... Then I suggest buying the Civivi Vision FG to try first. You won't be disappointed!

Best Fidget Folder with Two Caveats
The media could not be loaded. For me, the action on this thing easily beats a crossbar lock knife and also button lock knives. It has a perfect flowy detent. There is hardly any lock stick. The closing action is buttery smooth. Near the end of the action the detent sucks it closed so it does not bounce back open. It feels similar to a crossbar lock knife but it SOUNDS totally different; the sound is what really gets me. Disengaging the Superlock has a very mechanical sound. When you open it with the thumb studs it makes a weird futuristic sound that I can't describe but it sounds so cool. Even the lock up and detent sound great. My video does not do it justice. This knife has three big advantages over a crossbar lock knife: lock strength, longevity, and maintenance. You can spine wack the heck out of it and the lock will never fail; it would have to move so much to disengage but the coil spring is always pushing it in place. There are no omega springs so you can open and close it as much as you want and you don't have to worry about broken springs. Cleaning is super easy; no tricky mechanisms to spend forever fiddling with.Aside from the wonderful action and other benefits of the Superlock, the knife is what I expect from Civivi; good machining, nice g10, and decent steel with slicy geometry. The ergonomics are fine for me; you'd think the lock would get in the way but you actually just use it as a thumb rest or if you choke up then you don't feel it.While this knife is fantastic it does have one or two real downsides. The Superlock is physically painful when you fidget for a few minutes. When you use your fingers to pull down on the lock you are pressing on a 90 degree angle. It has been rounded, but it still hurts after a bit. You can position your finger to make it hurt less but it's still annoying. If you have tough skin, literally or figuratively, then it may not bother you very much. The other downside is that the clip sticks out way too much and can hook onto things. This can pull the knife out of your pocket and/or bend and ruin the clip. With two pliers and a cloth you can pretty easily bend the clip into a corrected shape without damaging anything; remove the clip first.Pros:The sound and feel of the action is hard to beat at any price.Very strong lock.Passes the spine wack test effortlessly. No omega springs.Easy disassembly and reassembly.Civivi quality.Cons:Superlock is physically painful when fidgeting.Clip sticks out too much. Easily fixable with pliers and a cloth. Not a good choice if you want an ultralight knife.Unlike other Civivis, there is some writing on the blade - "DESIGN BY SNECX"
