Bought these to install above a bar were building on our basement and they’re fantastic. The dual light option is really neat, the nightlight function provides a nice soft ambient light while the normal lighting is perfect for lighting up our entire bar top (we used 4 of the 6). We drilled a 4 inch hole using a hole saw bit and it was the perfect size to hold the lights snug- no boxes required. 2 things we want to mention- 1st, the input leads (hot, common and ground) are not long at all… if you’re installing these lights any distance apart on a single switch you’ll need wire between them because the inputs are short. 2nd, each light has a control box that must be mounted as well and the leads from the box to the light itself are about 6” long- plenty for our application. The control boxes are about 3” wide, 4” long and 1.5” thick. We installed these lights on a dimmer and they dim in normal and nightlight settings just fine. If you turn them down extremely low and shut them off they may not come back on when you flip the switch until you slide your dimmer higher. We’ve noticed a lot of the LED’s in our home do this, no big deal.

The product is good... installed it on a soffit over a front porch. The light is color adjustable and that worked very well. The clamps are very strong. The light is well constructed, but the junction boxes are so small that it made getting wires placed inside of them really challenging. I cut up my fingers a bunch doing this project. However, it is done and I am very happy with the result.

I like the fact that these are dimmable and that they can also be used indoors . They are easy to install and I’ll be using mine in my bedroom and bathroom.

As a contractor, I've installed many different brands of these recessed lights. This is the first one I've come across that didn't include the easy push connect wire nuts. Just makes things easier. The first pic is these lights and the 2nd pic is an example of what I'm talking about. 3rd pic is how they look in the porch I just built. I do really love the night light feature. I was going to take away a star for not including the push connect wire nuts but I think I'll still give it 5 because I like them so much.

The lights in a whole are great to install and use-The only major fault for our customers…The night light is too “orange” they are requesting the lights be replaced-Please identify on your packaging

Easy to install if you have some experience wiring and working with electrical wiring. Had 4 1/2” old style lighting used a hole saw to make them larger to accommodate the 6” pot lights and rewired the boxes. Recommend gives a great look great light in downlighting and nice uplighting for gaming and movie watching.

These lights were perfect for my bourbon room. After making the barrels, these lights fit perfect and the springs were strong to hold the lights in place.The options to increase or decrease the lumen settings from cool white to warm white is a wonderful option. There are 4 different settings. Then after installing a dimmer switch, these lights made the ambience of the room perfect. The on/off function to switch out the down lighting to a glow ring works great.Definitely worth the money and would buy again in a heartbeat

I really like those lights. Got 16 of them for my kitchen/dining, to replace ugly square stainless steel lights that the previous owner installed.Easy install, good luminosity and choice of color. I thought that the ring light would be cheesy, but its not. It really good to have a dimmer option in the evening/night. Wife loves them too.Will order more.

Overall, these lights work great as a low-profile option for my basement ceiling. They're easy to install (a 6-1/4" hole saw makes the job easy). The nightlight feature is nice but I have found that there are times when one of the lights on the circuit doesn't change and it takes a few seconds to get all lights the same. It's certainly not a deal breaker but it's the reason for the 4 star review rather than 5.
