I remember having a guard that curved around the ear, making it easier to line up your sideburns and beard evenly on both sides. I wish I still had it, and that this one had it too, but as long as you pay attention, you’ll be fine. Make sure your sideburns are the same width too lol

Hubby has a full beard and this is one of the best things to keep it tidy. He draws a line and it really helps that its clear. A must if you have a new beard and want to get the hang of keeping a clean line. Hubby finds that a safety razor works best for trimming that top and neck line.
