Style over function sums up this fancy cup. Looks really nice but difficult to hold with a full cup of tea and not spill some. Far too expensive in my book.

This was bought as a Christmas present for one of my friends who is self proclaimed tea connoisseur - she particularly loved the stylish design and claims that drinking tea is now a whole new experience (what ever that means!).As it is a typical tea cup it is on the smaller side so if you are not somebody who enjoys getting up on a regular basis to make yourself a new cup or don't have a teapot than you should consider getting one of the bigger sized cups in this range.I have however on small criticism - for a premium brand such as Villeroy and Boch I would have expected the cup to come in its own little box rather than to be just wrapped in bubble wrap. You can easily get around it by buying a little gift box, but if you are already spending the extra money you want people to notice that you've gone the extra mile without having to point it out.
