Mannesmann 7.5m x 25 mm Metric Steel Measuring Tape

Second one I've purchased, I'd rate the first one 5 stars. This one doesn't lock quite so well and it's got streaks of brown grease on it at various places along the length of it which despite several attempts at cleaning keep coming back and makes your fingers greasy and smell like you've been maintaining an old car engine. The first one I purchased didn't have these problems. On the plus side, it's metric only with clear markings down each edge of the front side of the tape and a plain white back. The tape is about 22mm wide and self supporting out to about 2m.

Wow, this is a big boy tape measure. Measured 1.5 m and locked the tape, didn't even wobble. No pesky inches, big clear, easy to read measurements. This one will last me for the rest of my life I reckon. Too big to pop in a pocket, but the handy clip will snap onto a belt or waistband. Just make sure they are strong or the tape will pull your trousers down. Not a tape measure for the faint of heart.

After being a surveyor for 35 years I know a what a good steel tape is, and this MEASURES up for the job.Clear metric and just the right size with good grip. Return is good and for less than £6 quid!

Useless. It has thre things to lock the tape in place and none of them work.

I prefer metric tape measures but avoid this one poor quality lasted about a week then into the skip.

Good quality tape easy read metric only scale no problems so far

It simply does its job. Only drawback is it's not very flexible, given its a good centimetre in width.
