So far, so brilliant. Good and powerful.
Not long had this so cannot comment on long-term use. However, so far, so brilliant. My previous electric toothbrush was battery operated, and this felt very wasteful. My treat was to get this rechargeable one, and I am very pleased I did. I mainly bought this model for the price, as I should be able to replace the brush with one of a selection from the same company. The brushes are obviously quite different depending on what type you buy, but the one provided is great. (Not sure about any whitening effect, but I think that's a general gimmick anyway.)Not very expensive, the charge lasts a good long time, the timer is a useful addition, and the brush indicates when it needs to be replaced by fading gradually to white. This also helps to show you if you are brushing too hard - something I used to do. Mine is fading more on the side closest to the handle, so I know I need to lighten up my pressure there!

It's a good brush with some good features.
I bought this to replace my current Oral B electric brush that stopped working, it was over 5 years old. This is a direct replacement and the only thing that I can see different is the charger is a different shape, other than that it has the same look as my old one. When I bought this it was around £17 and that was the cheapest I could get it anywhere. It lasts quite a while between charges and I would say you get approximately over a weeks worth of brushing and then it needs charging as it start to go pretty slow, but not stopped. I guess you could keep going until the battery runs down completely, although I doubt you'd be getting a good clean if you did that. The rubber grips means that it doesn't slip out your hand even if it's wet. It also has a nice timer feature that lets you know that 2 minutes is up and you should have finished brushing. It's supposed to be that you spend 30 seconds on each quarter of your mouth.I also like that Oral B make a vareity of different brush head types that fit this brush.Would I recommend this? Yes I would and if you can get it at a similar price to what I did then it's a must buy item.

basic model but still a decent electric toothbrush
bought this as a present. It was heavily discounted by Amazon and I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is. The base looks almost the same as my one which is an Oral-B one but cost four times as much. It has a simple press button that turns it on and off and I noticed that the heads are also the same as mine. After two minutes the electric motor stutters for a few minutes to indicate that you have cleaned your teeth for the recommended time which is a really good feature for the price.Although it hasn't got any digital displays like some of the more expensive toothbrushes it is a throughly decent toothbrush at a very good price.I took one star off as the charger is a 2 pin mains charger and i needed to buy a convertor as the person i bought if for did not have a shaver socket

Just the job at a great price.
I cannot recommend these toothbrushes enough, in as much as I cannot remember when I purchased my previous toothbrush from OralB, so they last a very long time and lots of teeth cleaning! The interchangeable heads are great, and if you shop around you can get them quite cheaply - general rule of thumb is that when the colour on the head fades, pop on a new one! I keep my toothbrush in the bathroom and the charger elsewhere and considering I brush my teeth at least twice a day, the charge lasts for about two weeks for me, which is great not having to take the charger on holiday with you ! This particular version lets you know when you have cleaned for the approved 2 mins which is actually quite a long time (dependent on how many teeth you have to clean of course ! ) Would thoroughly recommend and the price is great ! Bought through Amazon this arrived less than a day after order - what more could you ask for ?

Cheaper with less features
Bought this as a replacement however it was a lot cheaper and maybe this reflected on its performance compared to my old one.1) It has no light to indicate battery running low and therefore just stops2) having no light you cannot see when it is fully charged3) being top heavy in its design causes it to fall over regularly with the slightest touch. It does clean teeth just as well so if you require the features this one lacks then go for a dearer model that has them.
