Bought two of these as Christmas gifts. Excellent presentation box and the opener looks the biz; comes with neat instruction booklet. Only 4 stars because one of the boxes was slightly damaged

Very happy with the packaging and what a high quality fell you get right from the start. It’s been the perfect gift and having read previous reviews I decided to test the corkscrew before giving it away as a gift. I’m happy to say that there have been no issues...okay only two bottles were tested but having used products like this before this will be a great gift.

Bought this after having a similar one for nearly 10yrs. Unfortunately this one is not quite as good, more often than not it ends up pushing the cork into the bottle as the screw lost its sharpness very quickly

It's a nice looking item. I've had a similar one and had about 10 years out of that. Thought this was an updated and upgraded version but the mechanism stopped working just after Christmas (less than a year of use) which was rather disappointing. Would have got a better rating had it lasted, what i would consider, a reasonable amount of time.

Ideal purchase. A replacement for a previous one that had worn out. I think this one feels much better quality so delighted and think it will last a long time. Brilliant service too, A+

I have returned this corkscrew. The main issue is that the instruction manual states that it must not be used on synthetic corks. As more and more wine producers use synthetic corks or screw top bottles its somewhat redundant.The next issue I have with the product is its presentation, the box is elaborate with gold foil sides and inscription suggesting French origin when in fact its made in China. The corkscrew has a antique gold/brass finish, which to my taste makes it look rather chintzy if not tacky, but that's only my opinion. Its saving grace is that for the price its not badly made and does come with a years warranty. As I did not use it I cannot comment on how it opens wine bottles, but from its construction I would think its up for the job.

Am Anfang war es ganz toll. Leider ist obwohl wir es ganz normal gebraucht haben, schon nach 6 Monaten ein Teil abgebrochen. Somit ist das ganze Gerät nicht mehr zu gebrauchen. Den Preis nicht wert.

Cheap Chinese knockoff of the famous Rabbit corkscrew!I had a Rabbit, I loved my Rabbit, My Rabbit broke and I found out their warranty requires sending the original receipt back (yeah, right).So I bought this POS.In the first week I had it, 2 corks ended up being shoved into the bottle instead of being extracted.No Bueno!
