Super effective sleep aid
When other masks are $10-$15, the price of this one can make you think deeply before getting it. That's why you have my review. :)I first purchased Hibermate over 10 years ago when they came out with their first design. Since then, I have purchased two other generations of their mask. Even though the first generation of mask was great, I freely admit that they have greatly improved the design with each generation. This mask does a great job of cutting out the light. It has extra material near the nose to cut out any light that might sneak in. This is where most masks fail by letting light in near the nose. In my case, I instantly wake up if any light comes in, which renders most masks useless. This addition to the nose area was essential. The eye mask is also super comfortable. It feels soothing to the eyes. I use each mask every night for 3 or more years before purchasing another, and it holds up well to the use without getting uncomfortable. The ear covers do a good job of cutting out sound. They don't compete on the same level as ear plugs, which cut out sound up to 33 dB vs the 20 dB of the Hibermate ear covers. However, ear plugs tend to irritate the ears over time, and these ear covers don't. For me, they cut out enough sound for me to sleep, and I'm almost as sensitive to sound as to light. The padding around the ears is cushiony. They have improved the padding with each new design. The straps that hold the mask and muffs to your head are the area that has improved the most in the recent design. Past generations had adjustable elastic straps that eventually became overstretched so that the mask and muffs would not hold tightly to the face. Mine came off in the middle of the night, which would cause to to wake up. The recent design uses Velcro pads to allow you to adjust the tightness of the straps. The straps themselves do still have elastic in them, but they are thicker and more durable than past straps. The new design is a great improvement and will add to its longevity.

Split after a few months
They're bulky and not comfortable to sleep in but you try and deal with it, there isn't much out there that can help with sound and light reduction while sleeping. I tried this item, but I didn't even get 6 months of use out of it before it broke. Poor quality product that wasn't made to last.

Using it differently, and it helps
So wearing this initially from the packaging felt too tight around my head and nose bridge, just constricted, and I didn’t think I could fall asleep that way. But since I’ve had so many issues with noise disturbances interrupting my sleep I decided to try using it differently before giving up on it. First, I ended up taking the removable ear muffs off of the face mask so now I have an extra face mask that my partner can use. I sleep with a looser face mask and a sleep beanie and wear foam earplugs to bed. If there’s a disturbance in the night, neighbor’s dog barking or partner’s snoring is too loud for me even with my foam earplugs, I will slide one of the earmuffs under the band of my sleep mask or I slide it under my hat so it’s covering my ear on top of the earplug and secured that way, and with my other ear buried in the pillow, I put on some rain sounds and the noise is sufficiently dampened for me to fall back to sleep and I am the lightest of sleepers. I would say that yes this is worth it because the ear muffs are very cushy and comfortable and the silicone backing is nice and it does effectively dampen noise for me when used in conjunction with foam ear plugs. I would suggest that the manufactured alters the tension on the nose flap on the face mask. Something like a thinner stretchy material would be nicer for the nose bridge.

Not Noise Canceling
The earmuffs are comfortable but they do not keep out even the most common noises, and thus would not improve your sleep in my opinion.

Comfy enough but made poorly
Once you get used to it, it works fine and I’m a side sleeper. I took the eye coverage inserts out of my manta sleep mask and put them on this eye mask to give complete light blockage. My gripe is that one of the ear pieces keeps popping out of the part of the piece of foam and black outer cushion sits in. It’s seems to happen about 5 nights a week. It’s a bit frustrating, but this keeps the noise out well so I guess I will just deal with it. Also part of the inner earmuff is tearing. Expensive for cheap products. This happened only after a month.I reached out to the company and all they said was for me to buy some new replacement ear muffs without offering any kind of discount. To me, that sucks. When a customer complains about a product, they should compensate by offering a discount. That’s bad business practice.

Best product for quiet nights
Im very sensitive to noise when sleeping and I have looked for and used many different ear plug products for many years but they all have their drawbacks. Even though many found in-ear plugs do a great job of blocking out the noise most of them are not safe or healthy to used on a every day basis as they prevent the natural cleaning process of the ear, bear risk of ear canal infection, soreness or other even can cause tinnitus or hurt the eardrum if inserted to deep into the ear. Unfortunately, there not many headphones out there which block the noise and are comfortable to sleep which. This is why I love this product as it blocks out most of the noise and is super comfy to sleep with while it does pose any health risks for the ear like in/ear plugs do.

Don’t work
I was looking forward to these. These don’t work to block sounds. I still hear everything around me.
