she is a friendly and cheerful teacher. the first section explains and demonstrates the basic belly dance moves, the second is a fast-paced, bouncy dance repeated 3 times and the third section is a slow and sensuous dance, repeated and explained, and then a cool-down. my only problem is that it is very quiet so i need sound on maximum otherwise it is very good, even for a beginner i think

Fun full body workout
Loved this workout more than i thought i would. One section is slightly faster paced lots of hip circles. The other more slow and controlled. Its harder than it looks moving the hips whilst moving the arms too. All over body workout.

Yawn. Straight to charity
Look, it's subjective, but I found this so boring it lasted in my possession for about 20 minutes befo4 it was flung in the "to go to charity" pile. The teacher can make or break a fitness routine. This one didn't inspire. I don't know why. Just not my bag, I'm afraid.

Easily the best Belly Dance video I've tried.
Great for beginners, an effective workout and so enjoyable to do. If you're like me and get bored easily with conventional workouts, this is for you.

Great workout in a lovely setting. I have bought many Belly Dance books, CD's and DVD's but this is the best I have found.

Don’t waste your money or time
This dvd is not for beginners. It doesn’t tell you how toHold yourself, your feet width and I personally think it could cause injury. I have been doing a different one and the instructor explains every move.

Lalita is amazing. Tough workout on hips
Lalita is amazing. Tough workout on hips, butt and abs easy to follow as you learn steps. No hyper extensions of back meaning no backward leaning common in other videos. Motivating and approachable. Belly dancers are not skinny dancers, not intimidating to beginners. No complicated arms. If you're out of shape you can do this, but you will be tired at the end. When you will tone up you will still want to belly dance. It is a fun art form and culturally sensitive.

This is the best belly dance DVD that I have come across so far. The routines feel wonderful, and the instructor is inspirational.

Four Stars Belly dancing is fun
very fun & explanatory. Have not built up to the level of flexiblitly of instructor but may over time I can.
