I started cutting my own hair at home after repeated disappointments at salons. These are great quality and came SHARP. The thinning shears are amazing for layers as well. The clips can be a little stabbed, but my haircut is a bit messy on purpose so I don't really use them.I have no experience cutting hair, but I found these easy to use and they've saved me more than enough in haircuts to pay for them. Love that they came with their own case.

I'm not able to get to a salon for the foreseeable future but I really needed my hair cut. These shears cut very nicely and I am quite impressed. I definitely recommend this set.

Decent quality, storage case doesn't fit the scissors very well, but after fiddling it will hold them. Scissors are sharp and good weight. The set came with cutting scissors, thinning scissors, two clips a comb, and a small square of cloth like you would clean your glasses with, guess it's to wipe the scissors. Good price, adequate quality for home use.

These give a perfect trimming always they are being used in a salon business and my wife loves them for trimming the ends of the hair doing v cuts and layers

For starters, this kit is great value. If you are just getting into hair cutting for your own needs or friends and family, these may do the job just fine. Especially considering the price, getting a solid comb, scissors, and thinning shears, the clips and kit aer a super nice touch. The scissors however, leave some things to be desired. It is nice that they incluce a tension screw that is relatively easy to maneuver, as other ones I've used require a key or are very finicky. Unfortunately though, with only two uses, the tension repeatedly loosens itself - even within one haircut, so I find myself retightening them often. Price considered, they cut relatively well. I would recommend spending a little more, perhaps in the $15+ range if you want something with more longevity and quality. Regarding the ergonomics of the scissors, they feel alright to hold- but a bit big for me personally. The finger holes are just a little too big so I find myself repositioning the scissors several times through a cut. If you have bigger hands they may work better for you but there are no inserts or anything of that sort to make them fit better for you.
