Good value for money
After reading all the reviews on different pressure washers I decided to get this item despite the fact that it had no reviews then as I had confidence in Karcher as a manufacturer based on its good reputation. I am very glad I did. It came in a box with all the black parts loose that had to be assembled. They all clicked together easily and the instructions were clear and concise. The small black piece at the bottom RH side, which is to rest the gun and fitted spray attachment when it is stored, is unnecessary and I removed it since there is space in the rear to store both nozzles anyway. It was also a nuisance which kept getting in the way when the pressure washer was wheeled about. The pressure hose clicks easily into place each end (at the gun and machine) and is easily disconnected and the joints did not leak. The wheels make it very convenient to move around and the unit is heavy enough to be quite stable on level ground. A big advantage of this unit over many others is the fact that the detergent bottle, if it is being used, fits into the back of the machine (inverted) without it being separate and requiring a tube to be dipped into it (remove the rubber top first which I didn't do). The detergent flow is also controllable by means of a dial on the front. The hoze and electrical cable can be coiled up and hung on the hook on the RH side and over the gun when it is in its storage clip on the LH side. It is a very well designed pressure washer. In use the pressure is high enough for most cleaning jobs although I feel that it is not quite as high as some I have used, but it is not far off them. One nozzle is continuously adjustable from full pressure down to low pressure for use with the detergent bottle. The other nozzle gives a rotating point spray which I do not see that I will have much use for. The three-year warranty is good and it is not excessively noisy.

Top-notch
Very easy to put together if you follow instructions that come with it. Quite heavy piece of kit but feels very sturdy because of this. Some other reviews say there is nowhere to keep spare lance or cables - this is completely wrong there is a cable hook which you can use for both electric cable and the hosepipe and there are two slots at the rear of the machine for the two lances. The vario lance is quite powerful (and adjustable) and will be ideal for regular cleaning jobs such as cleaning the car etc. The dirt blaster lance is a different beast altogether - it is extremely powerful, it just cuts through dirt like it isn't there. I have a tarmac drive that was getting extremely moss covered. I tried the dirt blaster lance on part of the drive today and it looks like new - one note of caution though, I think if you have an older tarmac drive or concentrate the dirt blaster in one place for too long it will probably put holes in your tarmac.Overall, a fantastic piece of kit and well worth paying a bit extra to get the k4 (my in laws have the k2 and there is no comparison)

Did the job OK but broke down near the end of it.
For over 20 years I had an excellent pressure sprayer. At the time we had an enormous amount of paving. We have now moved to a house with paving just along the back of the house with a paved path along one side. And it needed cleaning.Unfortunately the motor of my old cleaner needed servicing and I could no longer find a service depot for this product so decided to buy a new one. I chose the Kärcher K4.I was worried when I unpacked it because just about everything was flimsy compared with my old machine - especially the dirt-blaster lance. But despite this it cleaned my dirty paving slabs just as well as my old vastly more substantial machine, so full marks for that as far as it goes. I should mention that these blaster nozzles achieve their results by 'spinning' the jet of water at high speed. So fast you can't see the spin. But just before I finished the rear paving the 'spin' of the nozzle developed a fault. The spin slowed to such an extent that you could see it and the whole lance assembly juddered in the hand. The cleaning jet came out in a series of large spirals. It still cleaned but took an eternity to do so.Because on this model the inside of the lance was inaccessible I sent an email to Kärcher. Their service was superb. The same day I received instructions as to how I could try to dissolve the grit they had assumed had entered the nozzle. I did as instructed but with no success. So Kärcher has said they would send me a new lance, which I now await. So how does one rate the product? It did the job excellently so is worth five stars. And the service I received from the manufacturer cannot be criticised. But the thing failed as far as paving cleaning was concerned after around two hours, which cannot be regarded with enthusiasm! So I have compromised with three stars.I would have grounds for returning it to Amazon who are always very good in such circumstances, but in view of the prompt help I received from the manufacturer I am hoping for 'better luck next time'. So I'll stick with it.21 June. Replacement received and job fished. Certainly 100% marks for manufacturer's service. But what if the lance fails again? I can't think they can all fail this quickly but might do so sometime. They are not an expensive replacement so assuming I was just unlucky it is something I can live with. So I've no hesitation in putting my rating up to 4 stars - assuming the site allows me to do so.Kärcher K4 Water-Cooled Pressure Washer

Karcher K4 excellent
I read reviews before ordering a pressure washer and the Karcher K4 lived up to the positive reviews. It has been used to pressure wash the roof of the conservatory, cleaning 1 year's grime rapidly & efficiently. I stood on the roof of my bungalow to do the conservatory roof and the length of the cable attached to the lance was suffient to reach. The tools are easy to exchange, and I ordered an extension for the lance for doing the conservatory roof, which is also a good buy - lightweight & easy to use. The exterior walls and windows of the conservatory, the paths, patio and of course the car are the other reasons for needing a pressure washer. It's going to make all these chores take a fraction of the time to complete, and frankly I see no other good way of doing the conservatory roof. Attaching the hosepipe and any tools is straight forward. I would fully recommend this make to anyone else.
