OMG! I love this! I was going to give a whole backstory but it really doesn't matter. I have calculus build up on my teeth and got tired of waiting for the dental appointment, which is still months away. I looked around, read reviews, and made the purchase. A godsend! For real! It arrived within 2 days. I charged it up & read the instructions. I was a little nervous to use it and I'll admit, still skeptical. BUT it works! I wish I had taken a before pic because I'm so happy with what I see in the mirror now! There were a few teeth in particular I wanted to work on and the visible calc is now gone! I also had some staining on some other teeth and it took care of that, too! No pain, no weird feeling while working, just a little noise when it touches the tooth. And it really does stop on a soft surface. I definitely recommend this product. It does exactly what it says it does. I'm so glad I looked around d because I didn't know a regular person could get something like this to use at home.

Possibly my best Amazon purchase! I can’t believe what an amazing job this did. I bought this to clean my teeth and remove tartar and it really exceeded my expectations. It removed the visible tartar and plaque and gross stuff in between my teeth and gums I didn’t even know I had in there. Black rocks literally came out while using it and i was in shock.I should’ve taken a before and after picture, but I probably would’ve been too embarrassed to share it anyway.

WHY DIDNT I BUY THIS SOONER? Bought this for my dog but tried it on myself first to see what it feels like. It's not a huge vibration, but to a dog it's not going to feel natural from the start. Go slowly especially if your dog has never experienced strange things in their mouth (toothbrush, dentist tools, etc). I used to scrape my dogs' teeth with a dentists scaler, but this is so much better. Safer - I don't have to worry about accidentally hurting them if I'm pulling hard on a tarter spot and it slips or they move. You can carefully set it in one spot first and expand gradually. Its more gentle - less pressure and force needed to make progress. It gradually breaks through the tartar so be patient and stick to contacting the tooth surface. It doesn't do as well on the surface of tartar/calculus. It does get HOT after extended run time so feel the tip every once in awhile to check. (There's a reason the dentist office version sprays water at the same time!) I was switching between two dogs to give them breaks and I needed to dip the tip in water to cool it down.The noise is a very high pitch vibration as the tip touches the tooth. It didn't bother me or my dogs, but I can imagine it irritating sensitive ears.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This product is worth every penny I got it on sale but honestly after using it would have paid full price for it. Literally will not need to go to your hygienist if you use this or they would be very impressed. Removed stains I was not able to get off with many other products I had used. All I have to say is get it

I bought this to use on my two Great Pyrenees, who have HEAVY tarter buildup on their teeth. I was scared to have them put under for just a dental cleaning, considering I know how easy cleanings are as I work in the dental field. I have been searching for a while, for a device that I felt comfortable using on my dogs, that they wouldn’t be scared of. This cavitron is quiet and doesn’t turn on until you touch the tooth! Which to me helped my dogs not be afraid. My dogs had bad breath from the heavy amounts of tarter. It does a great job cleaning the tarter off. Fantastic price compared to the cost of a vet dental cleaning. ABSOLUTELY recommend this product!!!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I had to wear noise canceling headphones because I cannot stand the sound the pick makes, but other than that, it works great. I had a little bit of plaque build up on the back of my bottom teeth and it fully removed it withing 5 minutes, pic of after i removed the plaque. Definitely get if you have plaque buildup.

Working for a while then Stopped working after battery lost its charge after one month and won’t charge. Useless piece of plastic. Charging indicator illuminates but device won’t charge or turn on.6/3/25 update: I contacted the seller and they immediately sent a replacement so I’m changing fromOne Star to three based on positive customer service experience

I had coffee stains on my two front teeth that whitening pens weren’t touching. Bought this product to use to see if it would help. Within a few seconds of going back and forth across my teeth the stains were gone! Something I was self conscious about for MONTHS literally gone in a few seconds. I’m so thankful for this product!
