Keeps salty sweat and rain from getting into eyes
I am into randonneuring and, therefore, have found after riding long distances, my helmet pads are crusted with salt. When it rains, the salt washes off, down my forehead and into my eyes. It burns so much that I couldn't keep my eyes open. Not good when you're cycling on city streets. Before randonneuring, I hadn't ridden in a lot of rain, so it was never an issue. I bought this cap to address this issue and it works great.I don't wear it when it is not raining as I found that it does heat up your head a bit. I also bought the cap that has a flap down the back and I use that one for full sunny days to shield my neck from the sun. When it rains the headband and little rubber band in the front keep the sweat from running into my eyes. The brim of the cap helps with rain getting into my eyes somewhat. I now never go on any rando ride without it packed somewhere.

Nice cap, but maybe not great for really hot temps
Summers are so hot here in Central Texas that I need to wait until about 90 minutes before sunset to ride. Much of my return trip back to the house is into the sun, which is why I got this cap. Basically, the cap does everything I could expect it to do. It's comfortable, well-made, constructed from a netting material that provides good ventilation, and the bill of the cap does a good job blocking the sun from your eyes. With that said, my first experience with the cap was not all positive. I left the house around 7 pm with a temperature of 97 degrees that had decreased to about 93 degrees around sunset. This late in the afternoon, I have ridden with starting temperatures above 100 degrees without a problem. However, on this ride wearing the cap, I could feel the effects of the heat about 3/4 into the ride. My heart rate was elevated for the amount of effort I was exerting. Maybe there was some physical issue on that particular day, but your head does radiate a lot of heat, so I'm thinking the cap was interfering with the cooling process. I don't know for a fact that the cap was why I was feeling the heat on that day, but when I was pedaling home after finishing my route, I took the cap off to see how much difference there was, and not wearing the cap was noticeably cooler. I have since ordered a new helmet that has a visor. I think that a helmet with a visor is going to be a better solution on very hot days.I feel that the cap is a good product and does everything you could expect from it, but wearing it on very hot days might be asking a bit too much.

Fit
Nice hat, it covers almost all of my ears, I have a smaller head though. I like that the visor can be flipped up for greater visibility. Would recommend

Fits very well
I compared this one to the items at the bike shop and it seems to fit better and feel just as good. . I would recommend it to anyone.

I have a regular head and short hair and works great. no sweat in my eyes
not for huge heads or bulky hair. I have a regular head and short hair and works great. no sweat in my eyes. Elastic is a littttttlllleee tight but i get the feeling after a few uses i'll either get used to it or it'll loosen. You will have marks on your forehead after a few hours use but small price to pay for the advantages of not having sweat all over your eyes.

The Best Cap Ever..
This Halo Headband Sweatband Cycling Cap is incredible. I used it for the first time today on my 43 mile bike ride. I ride in central Florida and it performed beyond my expectations. Not only did the bill keep the sun out of my eyes, the water wicking sweatband works like a charm. Not one bead of sweat made it to my eyes. I absolutely love this Cap. I will be purchasing another one. I promise you, you will not be disappointed in this Cap. I only wish that I purchased it sooner..

Works well for a very good price
I have used this sweat hat both by itself for indoor cycling sessions and outdoors under my helmet. Performs very well in both the envIronments. As you would expect the silicon sweat barrier will leave a temporary imprint on your forehead when worn under your helmet, but it blocks sweat from running into your eyes effectively and wicks head sweat well also.

Kinda works sometimes
This Halo cycling cap works great, IF you can keep a good seal between your forehead and the rubber section of the headband AND your head isn't tilted forward to a point the sweat drips around the gasket into your eyes or onto your sunglasses. For me keeping a seal is only possible with the bill down. I like to put the bill up for better field of vision when on the drops, descending, or just wanting some style points ;) If I put the bill up it pulls the gasket away from my temples breaking the seal and allowing sweat to drip right into my orbital sockets, which sucks.Additionally, even with the bill down, if you tilt your head down too far, perhaps grinding up a hard grade in a low gear, the sweat is able to go around the gasket onto your glasses or in your eyes. This happens to me more often hiking with a halo hat pushing up steep sections of trail and watching precarious footing. One other con of this specific halo product is the attachment point of the bill to the headband. It is about half an inch above the bottom of the headband. That means you have to scrunch the headband around your ears or fold it to get the bill to have enough clearance to flip up without pushing your helmet dangerously back on your head. I like the soft construction of the headband, but if it comes at the cost of having the bill up in the middle of your forehead, or having bunched fabric under your helmet straps and sunglasses, than no thank you.So in conclusion it works if you have the bill down and your head up, most of the time.A note on me and my experiences with Halo products in general:FYI I am the heaviest sweater I've ever met, I stream sweat off in disgusting amounts and as long as I keep a good seal and my head in proper orientation I will not get sweat in my eyes with any Halo headband (I use their running/hiking hats, hook n loop headbands, and cycling caps). The entire fabric section of the headband/hat/bill will become 100% saturated and I can still keep pushing on the trainer, or hiking in the summer for hours with no sweat in the eyes as long as I can maintain a seal. Folks saying it only works 15 minutes or such most likely never got it sealed correctly. Perhaps it doesn't work for all head shapes...
