Worth the money
This grill is everything that they said it is. The grill door had a slight dent i found when unpacking. I contacted customer service and three days later I received a complete fire box replacement. Great customer service.

Easier to assemble than they say
Insanely well packaged. I only gave it 4 stars because of how thin the stainless panels are. Retiring my old burned out Broil King grill, which I STILL love. This one is substantially lighter than the thick bullet proof aluminum Broil King fire box, but I've had stainless grills before, which worked well. Having rebuilt the old grill several times, the cost of replacement parts (burners, shields, grates, and particularly the warmer rack) sadly has just exceeded their value. I read all the reviews, and had some concern about the time it takes to assemble this one. After having done it, I can tell you, if it takes you any longer than 45 minutes TOPS ?? Please turn in your Man Card immediately. I did it from unboxing to completed grill in less than 35 minutes, and that includes putting the fire box on backwards first time (and yes, I actually did that). Time will tell if it lasts as long as my trusty/rusty old Broil King, but even though the sheet metal is somewhat thin and flimsy comparatively, it should cook well and last long enough. I hope the replacement parts aren't obsolete or stupid expensive when the time comes to replace them.

A great grill at a good price
i ordered this grill after my 20 year-old Weber Genesis finally gave up the ghost. I live in New England and I do not grill year-round, so I did not want to drop $1700 on a new Weber. I looked at several of the grills on Amazon and all of the Monument grills had good reviews, so I gave it a shot. I ordered it on Thursday and it showed up on Saturday (two days ahead of when Amazon said it would arrive), so that was good.It comes in a very large box (about 4' x 3' x 2') and all of the parts and pieces were well-packed. In fact, it took about 20 minutes to unpack everything, lol. After unpacking everything, I looked through the manual and got an idea about how to put it together. The manual is okay and it took me about 5 hours to put the grill together from start to finish. Others have said that it took them about an hour to put it together- they must have had a NASCAR pit crew working for them. lolA couple of tips I would recommend would be to use a power screwdriver; I used the Philips head bit on my Black and Decker cordless drill. This grill requires screwing a lot of large and small screws, so a cordless drill is a must. Also, if you have a headlamp, use that as well, since it illuminates the different parts of the grill that you are trying to assemble. Finally, do not discard the box after opening. If you do not have a designated workbench or table, the box serves as a great substitute. I did not want to be bending over all the time trying to screw in all the screws they give you. Once I was halfway done, I put the grill on the floor and then flipped the box on its side and used it as a place to keep the clear plastic container that held all the screws, etc. When it was finished, I rolled it outside on my deck, connected the propane tank, and gave it a test run. I made some burgers for my son and I. They turned out well. There is a thermometer in the front of the grill that tells the temperature inside the grill for that just-right cooking level.Admittedly, this grill is not as solid as my old Weber (it's made of very thin stainless steel, so be careful when you are driving those screws in), but it is is about 1/5th the price, so you get what you pay for. It worked for what I needed it to do, so I am a happy customer. I am looking forward to more delicious meals on my new Monument gas grill.

Impressive Grill at modest cost
I don't normally write reviews for products, but was compelled to write about the Monument Grill because I am so pleased. Firstly in response to many of the reviewers; some complained about the assembly and I was prepared for a lengthy exercise, but including unpacking the parts, I was done in 50 minutes. The carton and packaging are surprisingly excellent, and I believe it would take some real abuse to render any sort of damage enroute. Also for those who are wondering, most of the firebox is preassembled and it is mainly the pedestal/propane compartment that is flat shipped. The directions were excellent and I was particularly impressed by the precision/accuracy of all the parts, there was no bending or manhandling to get things to align. Everything fits and works as it should. The stainless comprises the doors, firebox cover, and side shelves. It seems to be well fabricated and flawless brushed finish. The sides and bottom of the compartment are painted grey but seem to be a high quality finish. Some complained that the wheels are plastic, but I love that they won't corrode and have easy to operate parking brake. The fire box itself is heat resistant coating like the inside of your oven, so easy to clean. The window and thermometer are a great idea. I like the fact that there are 3 separate grates inside, so if you cook on only one area, you only need to clean the one grate, leaving the others behind, just more convenient really. the drip tray is fully stainless steel and easy to remove and cleans up very easily. I have used the grill for a few weeks now and find the heat controls very accurate, easy to maintain a temperature without annoying hot spots. I live in the caribbean with high humidity and salty corrosive air, and bought a cheap cover from Amazon, and is essential to keeping the rust stains at bay, and very pleased so far. It is not a 3 thousand dollar grill and doesn't pretend to be, but in my opinion a great value compared to some other grilles I have seen and used. Some complained that the Monument badge is mounted crooked on the lid, and mine is no exception, and maybe there is a reason for it, but I could care less, the grille works flawlessly, has many great features and looks snappy as well.
