This glass cutter is so easy to use that even I, who has never cut glass before, can get great, accurate cuts with it. And that is without having any oil in the cutter, which you can do, it is "O" ring sealed to prevent the oil from leaking out (as long as you store the cutter with the cutting tip upright). Only after reading up on this I found out that there is a thing called glass cutting oil, would have been handy if this had been included in the instruction booklet, but there you go, yet another one of life's mysteries!Anyway, back to the cutter, 3 different cutting heads for various thicknesses of glass are included, along with a screwdriver to change the heads over, and a small pipette to add the mysterious cutting oil (that is not included). Works very well, straight cuts and curved cuts are easy to do, just apply firm and consistent pressure along the cut line, and only do 1 pass of the cut, do not try to go back and cut over the line again, it will fail, just do 1 pass and then break the glass gently on the cut line.

I really liked this item. I don't think it is perfect but I do think it's very much good value for money. I am not an experienced glass cutter and so when I looked for glass cutters i was a bit out of my depth. I had seen some which came with a stand to allow stability while cutting but they were all very expensive so instead I went for something which was cheaper. I was firstly surprised by the quality of the cutter, it is a very solidly built item which was reassuring as I thought the price may have meant a reduction in quality. The appearance Is sleek, when comparing it against other options to buy, it doesn't differ massively it is simple in its appearence and design but is ergonomic and fits well in the hand when being used. The sharpness of the item is good, I used this on a bottle to try and make a glass and it was sharp enough to score the glass when I used it on the bottle first time. There are different heads you can unscrew and use on the item too which brings versatility when wanting different cuts. I think one area the item could improve on is that there isn't much instruction on how to use this effectively and what the different heads mean. I had to look it up before using it but I think a sheet of instructions would help this item massively, particularly for those who are novices at glass cutting. If you did this then it would be a cracking item for those wanting to start glass cutting. Also it comes with tools like a pipette to blow glass dust away (I assume this is what it is for) and also a small screw driver for changing heads (a good little screw driver on its own too)

I don’t know if it was just I didn’t know what I’m doing but I didn’t have a great deal of success with this.I was trying to cut old greenhouse glass so combined with me not knowing what to do might have made things worse. I had 9 panes to try with and managed to cut 3, which was what I needed, the rest shattered.

Didn't work on my thin greenhouse glass and I tried all the cutting heads both with and without oil. Really only scratches the glass superficially. Didn't make the glass cutting sound you frequently associate with the action. I've had to buy custom cut glass instead.
