Great adventure fiction - I fyou like Jack Reacher , you will love Jason King
Matt Rogers gets better and better. And this Book 6 is not the "end" of the series of Jason KING, but rather the "beginning" of the series of Will SLATER. The author writes incredibly fast-paced action, and the reader really cares about the characters - Jason, Will, Ilsa, and Klara. This book is very hard to put down, so don't start it if you have to get to sleep for a real job in the morning. The combat action scenes are very believable. Jason King and Will Slater are NOT indestructible - but are definitely able to CHARLIE MIKE, that is "continue the mission" when they are starved, fatigued, injured, and in pain - falling back on their special operations training and experience. To the critics who feel that some of the action of the aircraft carrier is "improbable" - I would argue that if it isn't "impossible" then it is entirely within the realm of FICTION.

"The Race and Threats Never Slow"
In this book 6 of the series, King, Slater, and Isla are held as prisoners on board a U.S. Navy super carrier. They have no idea what their future may be ... if they have one. The Russians want King silenced, never able to disclose what he uncovered while the ship is attacked by a private paramilitary force. The three of them escape to Dubai. Now their war is with the U.S. and the Russians. How can they bare up to those extreme forces? No other novel has the speed race of the quest to survive. You'll be on the edge reading unbelievable attempts to survive. Gosh, I need to slow down and breathe!

Long Live the King
Perfect end to one of my favorite series from one of my favorite authors. Twists, turns, tragedy, and nonstop action.... I just loved this series. Rogers writes characters well and the pages turn from the adrenaline induced pace of the story. I may have to go re-read Bear again after Corrupted and Hunted. Luckily this isn't the last of King but still after this series I must say long live the King. Thank you Matt Rogers for the fun reads. I still have a lot of your books to read but you have a fan for life.

Lots of Action but Work on the Plot for the Next Series
Great Action! But anyone with a military or law enforcement background can clearly see the "fictional element" pretty quickly throughout the story line. The business with the aircraft carrier and the harrier jet are pretty "nonsensical." Also, while everyone enjoys a good yarn about an "off the books" black ops superhero; this one carries it to the extreme. On the plus side, you do kind of warm up to the Jason King persona throughout the series; and his new buddy "Will;" another "superhuman" operative. The author alludes to a new series forthcoming that will feature "Will" as the new central character. I suggest a bit more of a "tone-down" on the number of "impossible situations" that he somehow escapes from. Give the plot a bit more realism and depth. Matt, I hope this helps!

Very fast paced book....
..I really enjoyed this book in particular, as it was the last of the JAson King series. What remarkable character he is. So glad he found someone who means a lot to him. Sorry for him about Isla passing. Glad for Will who misses the fighting and knows he wants to continue. Looking forward to the 2 new series. Thanks, Amarillo Turtle

He calls the flight deck of a super carrier "tarmac
Another wannabe author who thinks he can write about an elite US special operations operator from the perspective of a Brit. He uses British punctuation, British language, and lives vicariously through Jason King. Not only that, but Rogers has no clue about weaponry nor does he know the difference between the flight deck of an aircraft carrier and the tarmac of an airport or how the word "tarmac" is used. He calls the flight deck of a super carrier "tarmac." Rogers describes a violent attack between King and this guy Sergie in the bowels of the aircraft carrier, when King grabs a Glock from the back of Sergie and then proceeds to "flip off the safety." New flash Rogers; the Glock does not have an external safety that one needs to flip off. How do I know this? Because I have been a firearms dealer/instructor for over 30 years, and a former Marine. Stick to writing fairy tales, Rogers. You have no relevance.

Matt Rogers has become one of my favorite authors. He is an excellent writer
I am soon sorry this one was the last of these series. Matt Rogers has become one of my favorite authors. He is an excellent writer, he writes very exciting and fast paced stories with great characters. I can't say enought good things about this and all the other books in this series. Already looking forward to reading Wolf and Lion. From 1 to 10, Matt Rogers deserves a 10.
