This is one of those almost single-source things you simply have to have for healthy water systems for aquatic turtles. I’ve never tried another brand, if they even exist, because Aquasafe is the only thing carried at my local superstore and reasonably priced. To cut out the middle man, I order it on Amazon. Abiut a year ago, the company quit putting the little plastic disc with the squirt-hole in it in the bottle. Instead, it’s just unscrew and free-pour. NeedWas to say, the first bottle I wasted, not expecting to tip it over and have basically the whole bottle pour out. To say I was frustrated was an understatement. I resolved it by just repeatedly replacing the plastic squirt-disc in an old bottle into each new one, but after a year of frequent water changes (and thus disc-changes) it finally is unusable. I’ll begin pouring my Aquasafe into some other squirt bottle so I don’t over use it (after more than a dozen years I’m comfortable with squirting the right amount) but hate that Aquasafe removed the squirt top and forces me to do so. I understand cost-effectiveness, but miss my squirt-top.

I HAVE A TURTLE (LIL. DUDE) THAT I HAVE RAISED SINCE BIRTH AND I HAVE USED THIS PRODUCT SEVERAL TIMES TO KEEP THE WATER CLEAN AND CLEAR OF ANY HARMFUL SUBSTANCES IN HIS TANK. HE HAS BEEN HAPPY AND HEALTHY NOW FOR 3 YRS AND STILL GOING STRONG! LOVE THIS PRODUCT AND IT DOES THE JOB!

It’s really good and most importantly it doesn’t smell.

This little formula has given us some extra peace of mind when it comes to our turtle's water. You do have to be very careful measuring out though. We basically have to use a medicine dropper to mix this solution into our water, so you need to read the directions carefully.
