Have to warranty it almost every month due to it not pressing vol down anymore
I have gone through 4 of these cases so far. Never have I had so many issues with a phone case. In about a month or less the volume down button stops working. Yeah it's a cheap case now but it's 7-10 bucks to have a new one shipped under warranty.

Does what it was made to do
I've had this case for a little over a year and specifically got lifeproof because I've had good experiences with the brand in the past. I'm writing this review mostly because I see quote a few low reviews saying this case is frail or doesn't fit flush with the phone or has a "noticable tapping sound" and they just don't seem right to me. A few people say the buttons don6t line up. I've had absolutely no issue with the functionality of the buttons on my phone using this case. I haven't had any glare issues other than what is to be expected off of any phone screen. As far as I can tell, the case (including built in screen protector) sit flush with my phone. I guess theres a tapping sound, but I have the sound on for my keyboard, so I don't really notice that too much if there is.My main reason for getting lifeproof is that it is both shock and water resistant. For this purpose, the case has held up. I fumble a lot, drop my phone, it slips from my hand and occasionally goes flying. There is no damage whatsoever to my phone due to the protection of the case. It has also protected my phone from spills. So it does what it's made to do and does what I bought it to do.

This thing is horrible.
How does this even get positive reviews? This is a legitimate Lifeproof case, sold and shipped by Amazon (not a seller). This is the most awful thing I have put on my phone. I've been on a quest to find a good case with a built-in screen protector - and this is the worst one I have tried! The screen protector doesn't sit flush against the screen AT ALL! There's a huge gap (especially on the sides), a glare, and a obvious indent and tapping sound on the screen when you touch it. How can anyone use this? I would rather have a bare screen than use this case. This is a total fail, Lifeproof. If you're like me, and just trying to find a good case with a built-in screen protector that sits awesome on the phone like old Otterboxes and Lifeproof cases used to do, this is NOT the case you're looking for. Honestly, just give up now.

Had to exchange twice!! (button issues)
I originally ordered this case when I received it the volume down button did not work. I then contacted Amazon who gladly exchanged the product. Just to receive another defective case in which the Bixby button had the same issue. Other than the two defective cases due to the button the case is great. I have always bought Lifeproof, it holds up very well. I have never had a problem when dropping my phone or with the water proof. I am not sure if this is a problem with the new design since it is a newer phone on the market. But I was not very satisfied this time around.

Could have been gold, but poor quality and design. Hard pass.
I love LifeProof cases. They work wonders on all my iPhones throughout the years and I never had reasons to question the quality.Enters the Galaxy S8 plus iteration...I'm already on my 5th case for this model and I think I'm good. Hard pass for next time. The design first of all is poor.It doesn't fit the phone well.As many have mentioned, the plastic covering the screen doesn't fit well. There is a gap so touch screen isn't as responsive.Once you mind the gap tho, you can easily compensate for it and it becomes less of an issue. But shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. Then there are the buttons.I don't know if they went cheap but the buttons work fine for about 30 days or so then Start to break appart AND not work when pressed. This is a major drop off in quality from what I'm used to with LifeProof. You can't put the phone to sleep or control sound. The Bixby button tho seem to work fine, but maybe it's because I disable this and seldom hit it.It makes it even harder to capture screen shots (lucky there are other option to capture screenshot that don't require using the home and sound - buttons).Seeing that the phone is already waterproof, this feature is redundant here so cannot test for it. So I don't know why it needs the water resistance feature but hey, the more the better? One thing tho that seem to work is drop protection.I have dropped my phone from a foot down fall without case and the screen cracked immediately. Then with another S8+, dropped from 4 to 5 feet drop with the case and it survived the drop test.Definitely good on that but anything else, I'd recommend looking elsewhere because this product is not durable.

Buttons move and become unusable
Update 3 months after purchase. Volume down button stopped touching the phone. The piece is out of position. If you open the case it'll work for a couple of presses but then moves so it stops working. The power button is starting to do the same thing.Safe case but the extra steps that must be taken to use your phone can be bothersome. But my phone is probably safe

Case is well upto the job..
Been using this case since I first received my SM-G955FD, I am now on my third one, the case has never let me down on protection, only the failure of the volume buttons have been an issue. That's a few years protection, however I have always fitted a skinomi screen protector to the front of the case as I have never been too impressed with the plastic on its own. All in all it has saved my handset on numerous occasions, has paid for itself with no fuss..As I said, only the volume buttons failing has let it down.

Extremely disappointing phone case that does not do what the ...
Extremely disappointing phone case that does not do what the name suggests. What does 'Lifeproof" mean? Does it mean it will protect my device against everyday hazards? Does it mean it will last the life of the device? Either way, it does neither. No more than 4 months after purchasing the case, the screen cover plastic separated from it's housing. The poorly built headphone adapter stopped functioning after only 2 months. This is not what you expect from an accessory costing in excess of £50. The case was replaced under warranty, but now dust has got into my new case preventing people I talk to on the phone from being able to hear me, so I need to remove my phone from it to clean it.It's supposed to be dust and waterproof, but it is neither. Don't buy it. It's a stylish case, but misleading in its claims.

Good case, doubtful everyday water protection.
The case is easy to fit.It offers good protection for the phone and screen. The screen protector seems to move a bit when pressing the screen but this is not a problem. The case may be waterproof when you test it but I have my doubts in every day use. I work in a timber mill and somehow wood dust still gets inside the case, I don't see how if it supposed to be water proof. After about one week the silicon seal on the charging door fell off and I had to stick it back on.All in all, it is a good case that offers good protection to the phone and screen, it's just a good job that the phone is water proof already.

After a while the volume bottoms doesnt reach the originals and you can't make adjust the volume
Well the case rly protect your phone but I have issues after a while with the volume bottoms. I am not able to click it and some times i need to use my nails to get the volume louder or quieter and most of the time doesn't even reach the volume bottoms either with the nail. It's such a shame to see that kind of an issue from a case on this price tag. You protect your phone but you can't shut down the volume, Fail!

Best case money can buy.
Used lifeproof for my previous phones Galaxy S6 & S3 so was a no brainer to have one for my Galaxy S8+. And by far the best case so far. Very light and premium build quality that you can trust you're £800 device with. 110% recommended!
