I bought these to take on a cruise. I wanted to hang towels, hats, string backpack etc on them. I'm so disappointed. These hooks could not even hold a damp washcloth without sliding down the wall. And come to find out, this type of item is not returnable on Amazon. Glad I only paid 8.99 for them, but still disappointed I cannot get that 8.99 back.

There's no way these hooks can hold 25lbs.I bought these hooks to help secure and hold up a magnetic curtain rod that had a defective magnet piece. First of all, these hooks are SO small, they couldn't even fit around the tiny curtain rod, so I had to just push them up sideways under the rod for support. Even with 3 hooks, they barely help to hold the rod up.I had a few extra hooks so I put one on the side of my husband's grill. I hung a spatula on it, and it immediately fell off and then fell between the cracks of the wood porch and got lost in the abyss under the porch.So again, there is no way these hooks can hold up to 25lbs when they couldn't hold up a spatula or even a flimsy curtain rod.I used the remaining hooks to hold a couple oven mitts to the side of my microwave, and those have been ok and haven't fallen, so they will hold the weight of an oven mit okay.

Just rec'd these. We use neodymium for lots of purposes and have used various strength one's for some medium to heavy objects.Pleased to find some with a hook and planned to use these for horizontal use so the weight supported is stated as 8# and not the 25#.That would work for our planned use. My initial sense suggested caution when simply putting this magnet hook on and pulling it off. So, I tested it by adding weight until it no longer held. I used some crescent wrenches and quarters. It held at 2.25# but failed at 2.5#. [Only tested one of the 12 hooks.]Many have used these successfully from the reviews but if you are buying based on the weight it is noted to support...be wary.

Reviews for this type product often say this type product doesn't work well. So when I ordered them because my wife wanted to use them on our cruise, I didn't expect much. We were surprised as to how well the did work. They held wet (not drenched) towels from the pool just fine; no slipping, no falling off the wall. They held her door decorations, never once slipped, which was surprising because we had some serious swells & wind waves.

very magnetic (so expect a low rating for 'easy to remove'). so magnetic im scared to place near eye level, because i feel like these hooks would scoop out your eyeball before coming off a metal surface.too many in a set, for sure. there's likely some who have a use for 12, but i think the public would be better served if able to purchase in smaller quantities.also, smaller than expected. im sure my fault for not reading dimensions, but word to the wise: they are like wrap-around-your-finger size. if that helps.haven't actually found much use for them yet, but they do seem useful.

I love these hooks they are powerful, thus the 3 out of 5 on easy to remove, because they take quite a tug and that's fine, I want them to hold heavy objects. These smaller hooks work just as well as the big bulky ones and I can hang more things on my magnetic bar with them than the big ones would allow - space wise, they are less obtrusive and I really like them

solid magnets shipping could have been better it took 2 days before they even shipped them. my only gripe is that the magnets are only held on to the hook shell by magnetism and if you screw the hook to far in it will push the magnet out, these should have a little bit of epoxy to hold em in i think. other than that they are a solid magnet im useing them to hold string bulbs to a galvanized roof above my bbq

These are strong little puppies! And, they come disassembled. You have to screw each hook into its magnetic base. I'm betting this is so you are not relying on a soldered seam to hold the weight. I got these to hang fabric masks off of on my front (metal) door. Easy to grab one every time I'm heading out. Strong enough to hold keys, embroidery hoop crafts, etc.
