It really gets the lose hair out on a dog with medium to long hair. I like that the tips are coated so the pins don't scratch the skin. It's a little too big for my smallest dog, but perfect for the 12 pounder.

I am a groomer of 15 years. I do like the Safari line and I have one of their dematters that I really like. I wouldn’t say this is the best brush for professional grooming. The metal tines are pretty flimsy and the backing is not the most durable (It could probably fall apart after using in a while). I will say that I love the handle on it though and I love what I use it for in my groom process. I use it as a brush in the tub while I am bathing them. So for that reason I really do like it as it seems it’s gentle enough while the dogs skin and coat are wet and more tender . The brush is not too rough yet strong enough for damp coats.

This is a well made sturdy brush and my long haired cat loves it. What I like most is the tines have little plastic caps on the ends, so no more wires poking and hurting my fingers when I try to clean it.

Brush works great. Makes my 5 month old shih tzu super soft and fluffy. He also loves this brush.

We have a long haired German Shepherd, it is the only brush I've found that works well!
