Perfect to use for light seam ripping
I ordered this to more easily manage ripping the seams on quilted pieces and it works beautifully! I do feel the suction cup could be a bit stronger but that is also why I specify that it's great for light seam ripping. The cloth on my photos is a tank top and it worked well but I would not (as one user mentioned) count on it to use for heavier fabrics or clothing like denim/ jeans.I recommend using it oriented the same way as in my video, with the ripper pointing away from you. If you turn it towards you it isn't as easy to see what's coming up, whereas turned away you can see the individual strands of threads. With the seam ends facing up so you can hold it away and to the sides, you won't snag that cloth on the bottom point of the ripper. I would suggest adding a bit of water to the suction cup in order to get it to stick. I couldn't get mine to stay without that step.Be. Very. Careful. The ripper is very sharp and can easily rip a hole into cloth. There is a protective cap that tucks away snugly underneath the level to tighten the suction cup. All in all it cut down on the time I normally would have spent dismantling the tank top and it definitely is a breeze to use on quilted squares. All in all an awesome little seam ripper!

Excelente descosedor
Facilita mucho descoser , la base tiene una ventosa para que no se mueva y poder utilizar las dos manos para pasar la prenda y descoserla rápidamente.

OMG, why didn’t I know about this before?!
I spotted this little gadget being used by Dave of Dave’s Craft Room (search him out on YouTube for inspirational sewing and quilting!) and it seemed to make life so much easier. I ended up buying them for my sister and my sewing friends. I have dexterity issues and hate unpicking at the best of times, but being able to stick this gadget to the table and use both hands to manage the fabric is a game changer! Just remember to moisten the suction base before sticking it down.

An excellent aid, making a three-handed job possible with two hands.
This solves a real problem. Trying to hold and separate the two fabric sides with one hand while guiding the cutter with the other is super difficult. This device makes it very easy. You do need a smooth surface like a glass oven top for instance. I think I'll clamp a small plate of smooth metal to my sewing table. A person could make a clamp mounted version of this, but that would be more difficult than just attaching a smooth plate to the table. The plate needs to be held still, of course, while you're pushing the fabric against this tool.

Poor design
This is one useless article, due to lazy design. You’re supposed to raise the lever, put it on a surface and the suction supposedly does its work. It does not! So, the product deems itself useless.
