Tastes great
I use this coffee for my cold brew machine, and it taste great. I got the whole bean, so grinding it, and then immediately putting into the cold brewer to sit overnight brews the perfect cup of cold brew. The coffee is very bold, and tastes wonderful. I like it a lot.

Not Dark Roast in my opinion
I know we're all different. When I think Dark Roast I think Starbucks. This is a light roast in comparison. It is a good coffee if you like the lighter side of coffee. I wish I could return mine.

Best Coffee but was expired
Solspring coffee is one of the cleanest and best on the market. It is biodynamic and free of mold and synthetic pesticides. An outstanding product and doesn't give the jitters like lesser brands. I've purchased it for years from Dr. Mercola's Marketplace, but with free shipping I ordered from Amazon. Disappointed that It arrived and is beyond the expiration date.

Makes a great cup of coffee. Smooth not bitter. Slightly sweet.
I am not an expert on Coffee. I do know what I like though. What I received:Two 1 pound bags of whole coffee beans. Brazilian dark roast. It is USDA organic. It is a product of Brazil. Certified Organic in Canada. Distributed by NHP in Florida. To make:I decided to follow the directions for the most part. I used about 6.6 ounces of water (measured it). I used two heaping 1 tablespoon scoops of whole bean. I ground the beans down to a fine grind. Brewed in a regular coffee machine. Nothing fancy.Taste:This is exactly as they state. It is a smooth and full bodied with fruity notes. There is a slight sweetness to it. Not bitter at all. Following the 6.6 ounces to 2 heaping scoops of coffee bean produced a perfect cup of coffee for me. Not too strong. Not too weak. I can drink this coffee black.I always try to decide when trying coffees, is this something that reminds me of a cup of coffee from one of my favorite coffee shops or the local favorite diner/restaurant or the local gas station. The other question I always ask myself does this remind me of the coffee my dad drank when I was little. To me after tasting this a few times now, I put this in between the coffee shop and favorite chain restaurant. Too smooth to be like my dad's coffee of long ago. Way beyond gas station.Biodynamic is a newer term for me. I had to look it up to better understand it. It means an enhanced or alternative method of organic farming. It is a holistic, ecological, and ethical approach to farming and gardening. This fits me. I try to purchase foods and products that as they farm think of the environment.

Not as strong as advertised.
I was disappointed as I expected it to be much stronger coffee. I like my expresso very strong. This coffee is not strong enough to make a good cappuccino.

Expired coffee and bad return policy
Ordered the coffee on 12/12/22, received on 12/14/22. I did not look on the bottom of the package until today 12/17/22. Coffee expired 11/07/2021. Buying direct from Mercola from now on. Lesson learned.. I’m sure an unexpired bag would be delicious..disappointed..

This coffee is whole bean to maintain freshness...just grind what you're going to use. It has a fantastic earthy aroma and a rich, deep flavor. I really like it!
