Nice plug - easy install
We have an outdoor water fountain, and the ground prong broke off the original plug. Not having a ground on the plug seemed like a pretty bad idea, especially around water, so I searched Amazon for a plug and came up with this one from Leviton. I basically chose the plug because I was familiar with the brand and knew they made safe (UL-listed) and reliable high quality electrical items for the home. The install was pretty simple, but it certainly helps to have an electrician's wire cutting tool. The whole install probably took less than about 10 minutes, and the fountain was back up and running with no ground safety issues to worry about.

It works but . . .
This is an inexpensive and minimalistic three prong plug. I was using stranded cable and felt the screw terminals could have been better designed. While the base of the terminal was grooved which was good, the walls retaining the wire defined a platform that was too large. Consequence was the wire wants to migrate away from the terminal screw, allowing for an imperfect, loose fit with wire strands outside the platform. Yup, it’s a detail but a better design is a “no additional cost” solution.

Easy to use.
I can't beleive how easy this was to use. My toaster oven was pressed against the plug at the wall. It kinda melted from the heat, so I needed to replace it fir safety. Super easy to replace. Very happy.

Great value for repairing cable
What I used it for:Contactor cut my TV cable that was hidden behind the drywall. which had the plug on it. I opened the sheathing of the TV wire and connected this new plug. TV works perfectly.Like:Very easy to install, anyone can do this type of repair.
