Maybe it's just me, but I purchased this in my iPhone with the kindle app. My goodness, don't read her writing on your iPhone. I've adjust and readjusted only to be able to read her words on my laptop.The writing is nothing short of amazing. She's open, honest and all together lovely. I read her work in my yoga classes and many students are moved by them and one student went as far as to order the book for her daughters. It's going to be assigned reading for a Brown Girl Yoga class I will be teaching this year. One less star for the formatting, but that it. She can write her tail off!

Wow, I feel like I'm reading huge chunks of my own story. This is beautifully written and very relatable. I'm appreciative of Anisah sharing her story in this way. This is very well written, and you will definitely feel connected to the author, but at the same time, want to be brave enough to take your own journey of healing, celebration, and reflection. Definitely a recommended read!
