I went to a beer tasting where we opened a beer, poured some in a regular glass and some in the Spiegelau glass. There was a different glass for each style of beer served. The Spiegelau rep explained the science of the glass and how it retains temperature and affects the taste of the beer. A local brewer brought the beer and also recommended this glass. Your beer will never taste the same again - it's amazing. This is an excellent gift for a craft brew lover - we drink our IPAs with this glass, even though it's technically a lager glass. Spiegelau also has a tasting set for a variety of beer styles - another great gift for your craft beer lover. Many reviews say these glasses are thin and fragile. It's true they are thin but they are not fragile. The thinness is part of why the glass is a perfect vessel to preserve the beer flavor and temperature. They are strong and do hold up in the dishwasher. This is not your usual glass product - it is a finely crafted glass. Enjoy, cheers!!

Love these tall, thin-glass beer glasses. Was gifted a two set and luckily found these in a set of four. Fragile but can be dishwasher safe.

These glasses look great but the glass is too thin.I have had them a week and have already broken two.Don't waste your money these glasses break so easily - this was not a good purchase.

Gorgeous glasses! Feels awesome in hand. Bigger (taller) than expected w/o reading dimensions before buying.However, BEWARE, the rims are EXTREMELY easy to break! I broke my first before even using any of them when I simply rubbed one glass' rim too hard with my sponge in the kitchen sink during their first cleaning. I was simultaneously lifting the glass through the water and, although I thought I had supported the bottom end well, the weight of the base's thicker glass and force of water as it was moving was enough to snap a large portion out of the rim (see pic). Glass looks to be about .5mm thick at the rim. Will probably buy again but I honestly was trying to be as careful as I could be with these while washing.PS: with the height of the glasses they don't fit on my diswasher's top rack and with their thinness I don't see how these survive the bottom rack's heat and jets. Maybe I'm too skeptical. If you want to avoid a break on your hands, just wash one in the dishwasher to see if it survives...

I wanted a set of unbranded lager glasses for our home bar. I was pleasantly surprised to see these are for Helles style beer (not listed in description or shown in pictures) which is my favorite!Spiegelau glassware is sturdy yet thin. Elegant yet dishwasher safe. Give these a try!

Look, you get what you pay for, these are the thinnest Weisen glasses I have ever seen. You'd be better off buying something else. If you even gently tap one of these on the sink or tap they will very likely break. They are so thin I am not going to gift them or even use them as planned.
