Easy and effective solution
The flat HD antennas we bought for over-the-air TV channels came with ridiculously short wires. These were the perfect solution to connect the antenna cable to a coaxial extension cable. It took 10 seconds to install and, voila, Problem solved and HD broadcast channels' reception is perfect.

They're usable
My original review was the following:These are pretty cheap. The quality is lower echelon. You'll pay more at Radio Shack, BUT get a better quality item if you get the gold plated looking one. These will do the job but I THINK they will contribute to degrading your signal if you're joining two high quality co-ax cables with one, thereby perhaps wasting your money on higher quality shielded cable which is what I felt I had done. Not recommended unless you just want a VERY basic set-up, say you're just setting up shop on a very low-budget.I've gotten updated information from more informed sources and as it turns out there is no such thing as 750 Ohm anything. What most likely is the fact is that the cables I connected using the 75Ohm connector are themselves 75 Ohm but I perhaps saw 75Ohm.See the discrepancy? The 0 is pushed up close to the 75 making it look like 750hms (750 Ohms) is what I THOUGHT I saw due to the heavier gauge of the 'shielded' cables. Point is, these work just fine and although Radio Shacks are prettier in terms of aesthetics these cheap little gadgets are probably better suited for the task at hand of joining two lengths of coaxial cable.WFN
