Tile Mate (2016) - 8 Pack - Discontinued by Manufacturer

Buggy and frustrating. Doesn't work.Unfortunately I'm beyond return window now, because for the first month or two they did (kinda, with a lot of frustration) work.I bought one for my wallet and one for my keys. When both are sitting next to my phone (location, bluetooth, etc. enabled), the app now just says both were "last seen 5 days ago" and helpfully suggests I ask the Tile community for help finding my stuff. WTF?As you can imagine, if it can't locate them when they're next to each other, it can't locate them when they're hiding in some jeans in a drawer, or under some papers, which was basically the main use of these for me. I don't care about finding stuff I left on a train somewhere. I just want a dead simple way to find stuff I left somewhere in the house, and these fail pretty miserably at this basic function.There are other things I could complain about -- like the requirement you have location on your phone for it to work at all -- but I'd be willing to deal with that annoyance if it could do the most basic thing it's supposed to -- find stuff in your house via Bluetooth.I think that Tile got too obsessed with the fancy mesh-networking stuff and crapped out on the actually useful stuff.

My wife loses her keys in the house all the time. I thought i would be the hero and get her the tile. Well yesterday she lost her keys. I said did you try Tile? She said "no". With excitement in my voice i said "I'll find them!!" Psh. Couldnt locate them!! They ended up being in the same room under a hat. The second time it failed me was this morning. I wanted to test and see if it works this morning. So I figured I'd locate my keys they are on the kitchen table 5 feet away. Nope. Couldn't locate them. FAIL!!

I love this product. A few of my friends have Tiles on their car keys and it works out great. I thought to myself this would work for my Mother who has early onset Dementia and is always misplacing/losing items in her home. I placed one on her iphone, ipad, keys, wallet and purse. We use the search feature a couple of times a week and it has been a lifesaver. I purchased an 8 pack because it was the best value. I was hesitant at first because of the price but I tell you it is honestly worth it. I plan on buying more in the future. Also, I do recommend the Tile Mate adhesive 3 pack. The adhesive has been holding up well on the iphone and ipad.

I’ve been using Tile for a few years now. They only last about a year and you cannot change the battery, so you have to order a new one. The lates model is barely audible. My wife and I searched for her keys. We were in the same room The keys were in her purse. Couldn’t hear it. The Tile works off of blue tooth, so if you are too far away, 30 feet or so, it won’t sound off. Likewise when you press the tile to find your phone. I’m very dissatisfied and will begin researching other brands. Another annoying thing is if you bump the tile accidentally, it sets your phone off. Ironic because when you need it to work it doesn’t.

This has been great for our family during the past year and when my grandson lost his keys in the snow, we were so very thankful he had one of these! We’ve had no issues and we do recommend them. I gave it 4 stars because I wish it didn’t just wear out after a year and then be worthless..having to get another one. We had purchased a bundle to make it cheaper but it’s still an expense to consider annually.

As of April 10th 2017 my Tile ceased to work. I purchased my kit December 22nd 2016.That's less than four months of operational use. I expected this device to function for around a year. The device is attached to my keys. I purchased the the kit that included eight Tiles I'm concerned that the others will become non-functional.

I love this product! Been using it for about 2 years now and cant imagine not using it again. It saves you so much time and stress when you misplaced something, especially your car keys or wallet early in the morning when you are running late! We have found some very useful ways to use this product, even sticking it in the back of TV remotes for those times it falls into the abyss of your sofa.

I use these when I travel & at home. I have one attached to my key ring, suitcase, backpack, purse & wallet. I can't tell you how many times I've used it to find my cell phone! I bought a package of, I think 14 tile mates & gave them as Christmas gifts last year. I would attach one to my tv remote control but I lost that long before I ever heard of tile mates :(

Pretty cool. Works as expected. Used it to find my keys within my house, and also to find my phone already. Haven't lost my Tile outside the house yet, but hoping the network of Tile users are able to help me find my stuff. My friend tested it by leaving a tile in his truck at the airport while on vacation and it was found in about 48 hours by another Tile user who must have been walking by. It sent him a notification message with the GPS location. I will be buying more. Great gifts for friends and family. It helps expand the Tile network when more people around you have them ;)
