BLACK DIAMOND Guide Finger Cold Weather Ski Gloves

Purchased these after years of on mountain use with my Hestra Army 3 Finger Heli gloves. Don't get me wrong the Hestra's lasted years and we're great but I decided to try these after reading numerous reviews and wow!! Incredible! SUPER durable with much thicker leather than the Hestra, more leather coverage all around, reinforced leather in all the right wear spots, considerably warmer than the Hestra and overall more comfortable! The only downside is not having included wrist straps which I simply took off my old worn out Hestras and put on these. If you've ever made the mistake of dropping a glove off the lift you know what I'm talking about with wrist straps. Overall, highly recommended if you want years of use and warmth. Make sure to take the time to measure your hand and size right according to the size guide.

Used these on Mt. Washington this winter, kept me toasty warm in the -50 weather (after windchill). Super easy on and off. I had the chance to try in a pair in store first so i knew they fit a bit small. I usually wear a large outer glove with a medium liner glove, using these as an outer glove I needed an XL and can barely fit a liner, but these are warmer and dont need it. The removable inner glove of these is excellent, it actually has boiled wool on the back of the hand and fingers so you still have dexterity and a bunch of warmth. The removable inner glove stays put really well and is itself has a gore-tex shell. As you wear the glove in they turn buttery soft as you would expect with any good leather glove. I really like the three finger design because in the third large finger I am able to fit all 4 of my fingers turning it into a mitten basically. Really helpful when my pointer is getting cold. My only complaint about these gloves is that they don't have idiot strings. Not a deal breaker, they do have loops to attach your own idiot strings but I would have really expected them to come with a nice wrist leash. I got a set of Hestra idiot strings to use with these, though any piece of cord could have done just as good a job, I wanted the nice wrist elastic to hold them.

Well, not really sure what's missing here. Great pair of gloves, super high dexterity to warmth ratio. I thought the leather was stupid at first but it's so soft, supple, and helps with dexterity. The feel of the glove is amazing in general. The size is right, not crazy burly. I have size 11 shoes and my hands are proportionally large, and the large size fits really well, space for me to add an additional layer underneath. I could probably fit into the medium comfortably as well, but without an additional layer underneath.Cons:No wrist leash and the wool does shed more than I'd like. The lining vs shell is just beneficial for drying. I wouldn't use them separately in most cases.

I order these after reading reviews and I liked the fact that a portion of the insulation consisted of wool. After reading reviews I was concerned About ordering the correct size. My knuckles measured exactly 8.5 inches across the palm. (22 cm). Tip of middle finger to wrist was 7.5”. The glove guide recommended a medium. Many reviews recommended ordering 1 size larger. I went with medium. I received the gloves today. They fit perfectly. I wouldn’t want them to be any larger. I have a little extra room in the tip of the thumb and finger. The mitten portion fits perfect. I definitely wouldn’t go any smaller.Gloves arrived with a small tube of Nikwax. Went on a little messy but came out very nice by the time I was finished.Looking forward to see how they preform next time I go skiing.

For the price, these should be warmer. I am 6'2", 200lbs, with skinny-ish fingers, probably medium size hands for a guy my size. I run, lift weights, in pretty good shape. I got the extra-large. Fit was good, as expected, a little roomy. My fingers tend to get cold easily. It's usually the first thing to go. Yesterday I had these out in the teens, windchill was -3F. The pointer finger by itself got cold after about 30 minutes or so, starting at the tip. I moved it over to the mitt side with the rest of the fingers, and that helped. Later I moved the pointer finger back into the finger area and it was noticeably cold.What I haven't tested is the toughness of the glove. I suppose in that regard they could be really good. The other thing you're getting is a little added dexterity. A full mitt isn't going to be nearly as easy to manipulate things as these are. As a comparison, the Black Diamond Mercury Mitt, which I also own, is noticeably warmer. I swapped these for the Mercurys midday yesterday. The draw back to them is that they are a full mitt. BUT, they are almost half the price. I think the bottom line for me is, when it's really cold out, all that matters is getting warm. Especially the fingers. I prefer the Mercurys right now on warmth alone, and at far less money. I will probably return these.

High quality, very warm, great for those cold days on the hill

I had the 5 finger BD mens guide glove for almost 10 years. One of the warmest gloves I've tried. Outside still looks almost as good as new. I condition the leather once a year at the end of the ski year. The thumb fabric nose wipe has worn down a little. Finally thought it was time to replace my old one and decided on the crab claw. Hopefully this one will last another 10 years.

It does what it claims. Now I want a pair for cycling that’s not a stiff as these. Great for walking, running & X-C skiing. Cheers

同じブラックダイヤモンド社のミットタイプのガイドグローブ（現在は廃番）を使っておりましたが、経年劣化のためこちらを購入。北海道のスキー場で使用してますが、３本指タイプはミットタイプと比べてどうしても人指し指が冷えます。但し、凍傷になるまでではなく、あくまで比較してということです。スノーボードでの利用では、問題の無い許容範囲内で、暖かく活動出来ております。

I have, and have had other Black Diamond Gloves and Mitts. These are the best of both worlds and are my new favourite ski mitt. I use my older gloves on warmer days, my Mitts on super cold days, and these for all times in between.

Très bonnes mitaines de ski et de sport d'hiver. Durée de vie d'environ 5 ans. Chaud jusqu'à -20celsius je dirais.
