MALOUF Steelock Bed Frame, Queen, Black

This is the best bed frame I've ever had!! It was SO easy to put together and is VERY solid. I didn't realize how bad the other frame was until the bed was put on this frame. Like I said, it's very sturdy. My husband and I are not small people and we feel this frame will hold up to anything. The other cheap frame for our king size bed that came with the mattress when we bought it, which had alot of plastic on it and around it, broke right in the middle (from a fun night of activity :)) and whenever we would go to bed at night we would end up rolling right into the middle of the bed. So after putting up with that for about a month, I looked at all the frames on Amazon and decided this would be the best to purchase. So glad I did. The way it's enginerred is wonderful and so simple, took about 5 minutes to set up as other reviews mentioned. And it is ALL STEEL, even where you put in the wheels is steel and the wheels are very sturdy too. One note about the wheels though is I tried to "lock" the 2 wheels that had the locks on them and they didn't work, but we have a 16 inch innerspring mattress, a 4 inch memory foam topper which is VERY heavy, the foundation and carpet in the bedroom, so I figured that it wouldn't be a problem and it hasn't been, the bed does not move at all. Also, the mattress feels like a new mattress and doesn't make any noise anymore, it's so quiet now. We always thought the noise came from the mattress, but it was the frame. It has a lifetime warranty too which made my decision easier. You won't be disappointed if you buy this frame!!

This is one of the easiest reviews I've ever had to write. These frames are well built and highly study, but they also go together in seconds, and without tools (once you've oriented yourself to the supplied assembly picture) in literally a minute or so. They also possess that frequently missing component feature: a lengthwise support rail connecting the two lateral braces that gives additional support all down the length of your mattress. I was surprised at just how much that extra support could mean. Even on a brand new mattress and box frame that I had purchased but two days ago, the difference was easy to notice as soon as I laid down. The accompanying large wheels, which you can use to move the bed around for vacuuming, re-positioning, etc., is simply icing on the cake. This is an outstandingly built frame with a great, useful design that actually increases the support under your mattress in way many other frames will not, and at a more that reasonably price. So, I must add to the many of those who have already reviewed this item as nothing less than Five Stars!

I bought this because of a defect in my previous frame (middle support of queen size buckled on a rug). Not only was it incredibly easy to put together (I am a 60+ average size/strength woman), the design is free of those annoying sliding bolt/hole configurations that undermine stability. This was ridiculously easy to assemble, it readily fit my headboard, and all the supports (6) are on wheels so the bed may be easily moved on a carpet. I'm amazed that anyone has had trouble putting this together. As for the comments/concerns about the foot of the bed support, again I disagree, but I am not in the habit of using my bed as a chair. Perhaps the fact that I have a headboard influences this, but I have have no trouble leaning or sitting on the foot of the bed. However, since the mattress/box spring together are so high, this is not a frequent occurrence for me! But I suspect that even if I noticed this as a problem, the side to side and center support for the bed is so good (my sagging mattress/box spring now flat) that it would not effect my opinion. I bought this for the bed, not as a chair frame! Great product, finely designed. (In the course of my adult life I"ve probably dealt with more than a dozen bedframes and there is no question this is the absolute, hands-down best, and no, I never thought I'd get excited about this sort of thing!)

This review is for the queen bed frame. I give it 4 stars because the casters that it comes with are just plain awful.Pros:- it takes about 30seconds to assemble (if you're taking it slow)- can be assembled by a single person (no help) and no tools required- casters are separate and not "welded/bolted" to the frame (this will come in handy later)- I love the minimal/floating lookCons:- the casters look cheap and like they might scratch your hardwood floors- the frame was a bit dirty/scratched when I received it (I wiped it down with a cloth and don't care about the scratches)Here's what you do *before* you assemble this bed frame:1. Buy 6 of these (available at Home Depot) - Everbilt 2-inch Threaded Stem with Brake Non-Marking Rubber Caster*** Note: each wheel can handle a max load of 80lbs so only do this if you think the frame/wheels can handle the total load ***2. Use pliers to remove the black plastic stem cover on the bad casters (wedge the pliers between the base of the stem and the bottom of the black plastic bit, then lift up. The plastic bit will pop right off - don't destroy this bit because you will need it!)3. Use the plastic stem covers salvaged from step 2 - place one over the stem of each of your new rubber casters*** Note: the plastic stem covers fit somewhat loosely over the stem of the rubber casters. I thought this was just fine because that would make it easy to replace a caster in the future. Besides I have no intention of lifting the bed frame ***4. Assemble the frame per shipped instructions and use your new rubber casters in place of the old onesNow you have a bed frame that rolls smoothly over any surface.The attached picture isn't great (my fault) but it gives you an idea of the look as well as the loading on the frame/wheels (add people weight). Thus far, the casters haven't snapped off :)

After reading all the customer reviews I was compelled to go ahead with the purchase of this easy to install KING size bed frame. It was SO easy to install that I actually never even looked at the instructions sheet! No tools required as the steel frame has lock-in handles that simply slide to fit into each other. The wheels also just fit right into their designated spots. The frame is extremely sturdy and although I only slept on it one night so far I can tell that unlike other steel frames this one will NOT cave in the middle. This is really a genius invention I am so happy to have come across it. Perfect for a business woman like me with very little time and energy to spend on assembling furniture. The bed frame was extremely easy to assemble, took me under 10 minutes to do it on my own. It is very sturdy and my boxspring fitted right in. This bed frame gives good support to your mattress set and makes absolutely no noise, so you won't be bothering your neighbors when you get intimate with your wife/husband.
